She shivered violently and shaded her eyes with her hands. "Where are we?" Sunshine woke up. "West, look at the totem over here." Joy pointed to the totem. Sunshine struggled to sit up and turned her head to look at the Totem. Then she looked down to check the injury on Happy’s foot, it was healing fast. The forest was really a magic place where the animals could self-recovery with wound.

Audrey I stared at my reflection in the full-length mirror, taking in my appearance one last time before the ceremony. Today was my first Healing Ceremony; it was something that Edwin and I had discussed, a way to heal Crescent residents who needed the help without having to make a million trips to hospitals. Pre-screened pack members in need of healing would line up, and the Silver Star would heal them. Of course, we could only help so many, and only those with minor afflictions would be cured at events like this. But it was a start.

All the times I thought I was alone, and I never really was and now I never will be again. As I feel my Empress Spirit surge, I push my healing light into every link that is tied to me. I feel it moving rapidly lighting up every thread like a Christmas tree and as the light reaches the people on the other side I can feel their pain and their injuries. Some minor and others more severe. I command the light to heal them all. Every cut, every bruise, every break, every wound. I feel them all healing at the same time and as I do, I feel myself getting stronger.

“We are going to do something different today." My eyebrow furrowed. “Different? How different can anything get when I can't move?" “Fresh air," he explained. “It's part of your recovery. Your body isn’t the only thing that needs healing.” I gave a dry chuckle that hurt more than it should have. “Do you think some sunlight will fix this?" I made a weak gesture at myself. “No," he replied, stepping closer. “But it may remind you that there is something outside this room worth recovering for."

Peace. The healer’s office was quiet, dimly lit by sunlight filtering through gauzy curtains. A breeze stirred therought the air. It was obvious that there was aw indow open, and given the cool fresh air sweeping over the ocean, I couldn't blame them. The nurse waved me into the office. The corners of the papers on the desk rustled in the breeze as she closed the door behind me. The healer was an older man with silvered hair and moon-pale eyes. He glanced up and gestured for me to sit.

I ask. He purses his lips, “You burst into flames, Sunshine.” He tells me then gestures back to the table. I turn and look and see a burn mark covering the surface right where I was standing and my head flings back to Issac. He gives me a small smile, and I grab his hands to see what I can do, but they’re already healing. He chuckles, “Guess you gave us your healing power too. I think this fire is part of your powers, Sunshine.” He says, making me look into his eyes.

{12/05} Savannah helped Javyn sit on the bench before sitting beside him. Javyn had grown to love the sunset as much as she did, something that filled her with a sense of excitement. “Look who’s asking to watch the sunset now.” She was in a playful mood. Javyn smiled. He loved it when she let her guard down. His medication had just worn out, and he wanted nothing more than to listen to her. Her stories killed the boredom. “I still prefer my dull ward, Nurse. Don’t get too excited.”

Roonie is still unconscious in bed, but his skin improved, and his vitals are balanced. She comes like this everyday to read him books, and she enjoys it so much. She set down the three books and picked one, then she opened it and sighed. "I know you can't hear me, but at least... your subconscious should connect with me. I finished reading Harry Potter to you yesterday, and today, it's a book about flowers, titled... BEAUTIES" She said, glancing at him. She stretched her right hand to him and held his right hand with it, rubbing it softly.

Nicholas thought so too, and he could not help caressing my ankle. I was wearing strappy high heels that day, and I hadn't taken them off when I had lain down. I felt my heart twist into knots as Nicholas' gaze darkened. He looked at me like a predator eyeing its prey before devouring it whole. He suddenly pulled a screen across my waist. It blocked my view of anything below my waist, including Nicholas. I could not see anything, and I began to feel even more uneasy. "What are you doing, doctor?" Nicholas explained patiently, "This is a normal procedure. It's to prevent you from feeling nervous when you see the tool."

Healing had changed Maya. But power? Power was something else entirely. It didn’t arrive loudly. There was no single moment where everything suddenly made sense… no dramatic breakthrough that announced: You are healed. Instead, it came in layers. Subtle. Steady. Unshakable. Like something rebuilding itself quietly beneath the surface. Maya woke one morning to sunlight spilling gently across her face. She blinked slowly, adjusting to the brightness. For a few seconds, she simply lay there.
