"And... set with powder. Boom."
She spun the chair around so I could face the mirror.
I leaned in. The mark was gone or, at least, it was invisible to the naked eye. My neck looked smooth, flawless. "It's magic," I breathed, touching the spot gingerly.
"It's chemistry and capitalism," Clara corrected, grinning. "But here's the thing, Sofi. You don't have any of this stuff. You have, what? Mascara and lip balm?"
"Lip balm," I admitted.
