It looked old and valuable, and I knew that it had to be important. I walked over to the book and opened it up, my heart racing as I read the title: "Genetics and the Possibility of Superhumans." I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The book discussed the potential for people with wolf-like abilities to exist, and the scientific methods that could be used to create them.

Félix asked, his hand moving toward his daggers. "I am here to offer you the Cure," Arthur said, gesturing to a silver case held by his aide. Surrounded by a black aura and flipping pages on its own, the book glowed ominously. She descended the ladder and approached it. As soon as she touched it, the book dropped, its dark magic vanishing. She knelt, examining the old black book, its scent and pages ancient. As she flipped through, she saw the list of vampire Supremes before the race split into two. Then she turned the page and saw the symbol of the black vampires. Her heart raced when she saw the image of the Thirteenth Prince of the blacks—Prince Zumir. Born on December 10, 1481, Zumir possessed powers unlike any blue-blooded vampire. His eyes were pitch-black and terrifying; his face alone could instill fear.

“It… I don’t know what it is.” He squeezed my hand, but it was so faint I almost didn’t feel it. “Tell me… About it…” I took a deep breath, glancing uncertainly at David, but he nodded, silently encouraging me to go on. I told him everything. As I spoke, his eyes fell shut, and I feared he had fallen asleep, or worse. But when I finished, he nodded, and said quietly, “Ah… The Guardian Mother Gene…” I furrowed my brow. David leaned forward with a sparkle in his eye I’d never seen before. “It’s a very rare gene,” he murmured. “And a highly treasured one, at that.”

We sat down on the library floor like children discovering a treasure trove of knowledge for the first time. Andrew opened the book to a specific page as if he knew its contents by heart. "This section explains gene therapy in detail for those who are curious.

"Look at this." I looked down and saw a document opened on the screen containing real experimental data. My eyes grew in size and my tears seemed to stop automatically. I quickly sifted through it. The folder listed important information as well as the production method of gene fusion agents that allowed normal fusion of human genes and supernatural material genes. In addition to this, the hard drive also had some advanced biology textbooks to help whoever possessed it to understand these experiments and paranatural creatures. It was all here. Everything.
