He clicked the baton off and drove it into my stomach. Air blew out of me. He waited for me to drag in a breath, then did it again. “Here’s the plan,” Jasper said, cheerful now. “I take a piece. Then another. Then another. When I’m tired, I’ll go see your little Luna and tell her how you begged.”

After ending the call, he'd left in a hurry, and he hadn't come back since. I dragged my exhausted body out of bed. The fever made it hard to stand steady. Just then, the door opened. Emilio was back. He carried a pile of gifts, each one clearly expensive from the packaging alone. Noticing my gaze, he hurried over. "Why are you only waking up now, sleepyhead?" I turned my head, dodging his outstretched hand. I looked down at the gifts and said softly, "My birthday's already over, Emilio."

I knew he was hurting, but had I not suffered just as much? Though my name had been cleared, it was far too late. With red-rimmed eyes, I grabbed my shopping basket and headed out the door. Before leaving, I placed the USB drive on the table. “I hope that by the time I return, you’ll be gone.” … When I came back from the market, the old house was empty. The USB drive had disappeared, and so had Lucas. A wave of relief washed over me.

It was Frank. “You can go,” he said to his personal assistant. “Hello, Frank,” he answered. It hadn’t even been thirty-five minutes, and Frank was already calling back. “Mr. Charles, I’ve gotten the information already,” Frank said. “Good,” Charles replied. “I’ve sent it to your email. And don’t forget to pay my money this time around,” Frank added.

This will be Summer I, II, and III. After that, the monsters and the sprites encounter each other. And they begin clashing with one another. Soon it escalates, and the trees and bushes will reveal themselves as warriors. And war will break out. Everyone will fall over, and Marie (the last survivor) will collapse and die from her injuries. The war will be in Autumn. The peak of the war and Marie's end will be showcased in Winter I.
