Chapter 10 Cayden POV I hang up the phone with the local police chief and lean back in my chair as I rub my hands over my face. Vampires? Are you fucking kidding me? Of all the times for my parents to be off, enjoying their retirement travelling. If they had been home, they surely would have been part of the conversation with Scarlett’s parents earlier today and they’d be taking part in the session with Leader Bruno later this morning. They’re of the same generation and my dad was Alpha Zeb’s Beta, which means they were also a part of it the last time werewolves had to do battle against those bloodsuckers. No one has seen or heard from one of those things in years. We honestly thought that i

About six months into the apocalypse, both my mom and I had discovered some serious powers. Mine? I could hear my dad's thoughts—yes, only his. In an apocalyptic world where survival hinged on brute strength, this ability was as useful as a screen door on a submarine. The only upside was that I became his personal translator. But my mom? She struck gold. She developed super strength—and not just the run-of-the-mill kind. Her entire body mutated. She went through a second growth spurt, and now she was almost seven feet tall—tall and built like a tank.

I closed my suitcase with a loud thud. “That’s it! We have Alexa. Didn’t you say Alpha Romero and Alpha Alastair are also her mates? Plus, Alexa is prophesied to be the Supreme Luna who unites all packs. The alpha who stands beside her can’t be just anyone, right?” My uncle insisted excitedly. “Harlow may be a Lycan, but that doesn’t mean he can defeat Alpha Romero or Alpha Alastair, right? What if they are pitted against each other?” He kept pushing his cunning idea.

I fought alongside Cain, our magic entwined in a deadly dance, as we pushed back the enemy forces. Amidst the chaos, I spotted a figure lunging toward Cain, sword raised high. Time seemed to slow as I stretched my hand out, desperation lending strength to my voice. “Stop!” I cried, and at that moment, lightning streaked across the sky, striking the assailant’s weapon. The blade shattered into pieces, leaving Cain unharmed. It was a reminder that my powers had been restored, and I marveled at the wonder of it all.

The guy flinched back in fear. His mind recalled the lost battle. And suddenly he realized where he was and how he ended up there. "S...Silvia?" The man tried and pretended to be unaware but Hunter wasn't having it. With a low growl, his claws extended out and he grabbed that guy's throat letting his claws pierce his skin causing blood to ooze out. "She... She was a seer who helped Alpha Alonso win all the battles," The guy said fearfully.

Bastian and Laryn guard my lair and Ashrac is watching Cantor and baby Lex. We all felt Drakon crash through our realms and enter the earth realm, though it doesn't mean we're safe. We should have known he was here much sooner than we did, so we remain on high alert. Betty has minor burns and twelve of my humans are dead, including Henry, who gave his life for Pepper and our child.

Sorin said as his lips threatened to break open into another grin. "Sheesh you don't even know how useful this weapon you uncultured swine.! Just ask Eugene he will tell you just how useful this weapon is!" Eira huffs out defiantly. "Who?? Who is this E-Eugen??" Sorin asks confused. "Not Eugen it's Eugene, you know the dashing bandit who's nose always ends up getting skewered on the wanted posters?" Eira says as she looked at him if he understood. Sorin still looked confused.

Seconds later, the sound of large wings disturbing the air drew Nya’s eyes skyward. He appeared over the moon first, as he always seemed to do, pausing there, silhouetted by the silver light, his red and black scales glimmering. Looking up at him, it was hard to think of him as anything other than a magnificent winged creature, a legendary, mythological being of mass proportion. Nya’s mouth dropped open as she gazed up at him, her awe temporarily disturbing her mission.

“The person who’s looking to hire bodyguards is the Supreme Warrior. The one and only strongest person in our Cathysia army, the Supreme Warrior!” “Psst!” The ten girls in front of him took sharp breaths of fright when they heard this. They had no idea that it was the Supreme Warrior who was looking for bodyguards.

a werewolf announced. Zane Drocco is a handsome lad carrying the title of being the oldest among them despite the clear skin and youthful appearance. He's had visions of the past, present, and future. He's also laid out several prophecies that turned out to be quite true, and everything he envisioned had come to reality. Apart from that, he is also the strongest warrior who led battles to victory in centuries. A literal knight in shining armour.
