I didn't want to have breakfast for fear of running into Darick. The door creaked as I turned the knob and entered the library. The spell that killed Balric the Betrayer’s son came from the same book and started a spur of murders through him, Mom, and Ian that took almost a hundred werewolf lives cause of it.

The writing was a little faded and handwritten, but despite all that, it felt so familiar and I could read it, like it was something I had read a thousand times before. “The Divine Order is made up of four bloodlines.
