Josephine POV Five years later I flipped the sign on the door from closed to open. Tourist season was dying down in Delta Springs, but my little store—Moonlight Mystics & Charms—had enough regulars to make it through the cooler months. Ordinary humans enjoyed buying my crystals, herbs, and protective symbols, but the town I called home also had a supernatural community. They knew they could come to me for the real stuff. There were no packs in town, but various shifters lived side by side without much drama. A few vampires even lived in the bayou outside of town, although they mostly kept to themselves. As far as I knew, Vivian was still the only legitimate psychic.

The Deathbringers was a pack led by an incredibly powerful leader—Alpha Kane, but everyone called him the Devil Alpha. It was rumoured that his eyes were pitch black during transformation, a color that no Alpha had ever had. Some said he got it by making a deal with the devil while others claimed he was the devil. I agree with the latter. He had to be the devil, believing otherwise would mean that there was something worse than him out there. That in itself, was a more terrifying thought.

Author's Pov Alpha Dante, only his name was enough to sent a shiver of dread to her body. Zinnia froze completely with her unblinking eyes stuck on the monster of her past. Dante didn't glance at her once the whole time, he had his Luna beside him as well. Luna Cynthia, the woman who had an equal hand in making her life a living hell when she was in their pack.

Over the past three weeks, the massive Delta had become something close to a friend, or at least a reliable source of information about the Ring's politics. "Heard you're fighting Viper tonight," he said without preamble. "That's what Lena told me." I finished the wrap on my left hand, started on my right. "What do you know about her?" "Delta-level, specializes in joint locks and submission holds. She's not as strong as some, she's technical. Patient." He paused. "Waits for you to make a mistake, capitalizes ruthlessly." At first Maddie thought it was a cellphone, but instead of a screen, the rectangle was covered in strange glowing letters, in a language which looked like Sanskrit. "It's a Sensor" Jason said, noticing Maddie's stare "And it's used to track down demonic activities. You see these glowing letters? They light up when the Sensor picks up the movement of demons. Right now the twin of this Sensor is at that cathedral, and it is glowing, just like this one." "Which means," Cassie deduced "That Aosoth is also camping at that cathedral" "Mad!" Ayesha exclaimed. Maddie's mind wandered as she watched four men in hats, sunglasses and trench coats walk into the diner.

Silvia dashed towards Hunter who jumped over shifting into his wolf form as he attacked Armando who also shifted as both the wolves collided. Rachael tried to use her magic on Hunter but Silvia had enough. Using her magic she raised Rachael in the air and choked her as the girl struggled for breath. A wolf tried to attack her but Lennox plunged at him, taking him down and ripping his flesh with his canines. Silvia moved closer to the struggling Rachael as she looked her in the eyes. "Hunter is only mine," Silvia sneered coldly in her ears as she choked Rachael to death using her magic.

It would quite literally be a house inside the Compound. I looked for Xander in our shared suite, and he wasn't there, so I went next door to his suite and knocked, not wanting to give Chef Lo Faso instructions if Xander had already done it. I didn't look for Elias, knowing he was still at work. Not finding Xander, I went downstairs to speak with the chef when I saw him walking toward us, talking to another tall, good-looking man. "Oh, Kalyssa!" Xander reached for me as he approached, and then kissed my cheek. "This is Gray Garza, Alpha Supreme of the Western Region. Gray, this is my betrothed, Dr. Kalyssa Carran, veterinarian."

The twins spun around and saw the delta trembling. “I am tired. Let’s talk tomorrow,” I answered, dismissing him. I could not sleep, no matter how much I tried. My thoughts always fall on the betrayers. Idiot. I knew I was. Delta Isagani sauntered towards me. His eyes told me he would do everything to save the woman. “River is leaving.” ‘No!’ Denaro shouted in the background. 'Go after them, Maxxwell!' Muting him, I focused my attention on the delta. “Which should be happening right now. I gave my orders. It was done.”

It is the Delta named Isaac. ‘He’s a Delta, right?’ Vincent pondered while looking at Isaac. ‘But I can sense strong aura from him.’ Vincent’s eyes went back to the old man. Perhaps, even if Lanceil isn’t as strong as before, he is confidence to be arrogant because the Delta next to him is not just a normal werewolf warrior. In fact, among the werewolves in this party, Isaac holds the strongest aura. ‘Is he really just a Delta?’ As Vincent’s focus went to Isaac, Lanceil’s response has returned.

The Dark Moon Pack had a strict rule against Witches and they feared their pack enough to not get any close to them, and most especially not his daughter, besides he didn't know of any witch that lived anywhere even remotely close to their land.
