Question after question swirled within him, a mental whirlwind that brought with it a dull ache behind his eyes. He threw back the covers and jumped out of his bed as a sudden idea sparked in his mind. He retrieved his school bag, unzipped it, and rummaged for his pen and notebook. On the blank pages, he began to draw two small boy figures taking shape under his hand. These drawings were a secret project, a gift for his little brother for their meeting tomorrow. The first drawing depicted his initial observation of the young boy from a distance. It captured the moment he had first noticed little Zadkiel from his hidden vantage point.

Susan said looking around on the ground. "What did you drop ?" Khloe tried peering out of the cage . "This ." Susan picks a charcoal pencil from the ground that had rolled toward Khloe cage . "What do you use that for ." Khloe asked . " I draw at times ." Susan answered. "Really ?" Khloe sounded amused . "uh-huh ." Susan nods her head "I will make a drawing of you someday." Susan promised. "I hope so ." Khloe answered. "What the hell are you doing there ?" A voice startled them, it was the ugly vampire that had pissed into her cage the previous day ,the same one that had fucked the maid.

He stared at it with so much intensity. “What's behind the inspiration?” “Nothing in particular, I just sat down and... drew.” I explained. I collectively remembered the day I drew the portrait. I had just finished having little fall out with mom, I walked towards my pencil, as I held the pencil, so many emotions began to flow through. Carefully, I began to draw. The drawing took five hours to complete, I had lost track of time. When I was done, I was surprised to see what I had done. It was a well sculptured drawing of a bleeding girl, standing next to a huge creature, more like a huge dog with blazing eyes that could kill its prey. They were both surrounded by the forest, brown tree branch

She looked unsettled, conflicted if she should speak, but she finally spoke. "Do you believe in the supernatural?" My blood turned cold and I fought hard to ensure my eyes didn't give me away. I tried to look anywhere else but her eyes and my eyes fell on the next drawing in her sketchbook. Staring at the drawing of a man having flames on him felt like staring into my own soul. I couldn't pull my gaze away from it. The drawing was so detailed and perfect, just like that night. I felt my chartreuse eyes almost burning in flames.

Reasonable honestly. The dangerous smile. God. Then everyone froze. Fair. Because somehow— Reasonable. Somehow— God. Peanut looked like she understood the plan. Fair. Impossible. Reasonable honestly. But somehow true. God. Then later that afternoon Adrian discovered something. Fair. Very suspicious. Reasonable. Very, very suspicious. God. A drawing. Fair. A giant drawing. Reasonable. Hidden beneath the couch. God. The title read: "ESCAPE." Fair. Silence.

He climbed onto the sofa beside her and opened the notebook. Crayon lines filled the page. Bright colors. Simple shapes. But the drawing was recognizable. Three stick figures stood side by side beneath a large sun. Evelyn had seen similar drawings from him before. Usually the same three figures. A woman. A child. And a tall man with darker shading around the eyes. Silas held the notebook proudly. “Do you like it?” Evelyn forced a soft smile. “It’s beautiful.” He studied the picture carefully. Then pointed to the tallest figure.

A hollow hour, a time when secrets and fears felt most alive. I poured myself a glass of water without thinking, my fingers numb against the chill of the glass. Drawing had always been my escape—charcoal and graphite transforming panic into something tangible. Settling at the small table by the window, I opened my sketchbook and let my hand move, searching for solace. Dark lines spilled across the page, tracing angles that formed a face—a face all jagged edges, raw emotion, with an intensity that mirrored the storm brewing in my chest.

I awoke with a start, my chest rising and falling rapidly as images flashed in my head. My hands were trembling when I reached for my sketchbook causing me to drop my phone which was on the nightstand, but I paid it no mind as I threw open the book to the first clean page. The pencil moved quickly and fluidly across the page and even in the dark, I could see the image of the woman becoming clearer on the page. It was by far one of the most detailed drawings I’ve ever done of a person I’ve never seen or met before.

I picked up the next drawing, and paused. It was a messy picture of a woman wearing glasses. I blinked, then raised an eyebrow, pointing to myself. “Is… is that me?” Hannah nodded quickly, her fingers twisting together. “Y-yes,” she said nervously. “Is it good?” A soft laugh escaped me before I could stop it. I pulled her into a hug, holding her tightly. “Yes. It’s perfect.” She smiled, clearly relieved, her body relaxing against mine. I continued flipping through the drawings, my smile still lingering, until I reached the last one. My hands stilled as I looked at the drawing of four people.

Odell walked closer to her and asked, “What are you doing?” Sylvia chose to remain quiet. Odell approached her side and saw her scribbling a dark drawing. The entire drawing was dark, drawn only with different shades of black. The dark sky, the black forests, and the crows on the branches, the entire drawing screamed of depression. She was scribbling with charcoal, so her hands were also tainted black. Odell frowned and said in a heavy tone, “Stop drawing.” Sylvia ignored him and continued moving her charcoal across the canvas.
