Amelia’s POV Morning light filtered softly through the penthouse windows, casting a gentle glow across the bedroom. I stirred slowly, the silk sheets cool against my skin, and reached out instinctively for Asher. The spot beside me was empty but still warm. I opened my eyes to find him standing near the dresser, buttoning a crisp white shirt over his broad chest. His dark hair was neatly combed, the faint silver at his temples catching the light. He looked every bit the commanding billionaire he was, yet in this quiet moment, he was simply mine.

He held me as if I were made of spun glass, his hands constantly resting on my stomach, communicating silently with the two lives growing inside. "You did well today," he whispered into the dark as we lay tangled in the black silk sheets. "I just sat there," I mumbled, sleep tugging at my eyelids. "You sat there like a Queen," he corrected. "Go to sleep, Elena. You are safe." I closed my eyes and drifted off, feeling the warmth of his body against my back. But the peace didn't last. The dream started with blood. I was standing in a field of snow. White, endless snow. But it wasn't cold. The sky was a bleeding crimson red.

His dark hair was slicked back, and his chiselled jaw was clean-shaven. But it wasn’t his appearance that caught her off guard—it was the way his eyes widened when he saw her. His gaze travelled from the top of her perfectly styled hair to the tips of her golden heels, and for a moment, he seemed at a loss for words.

He handed them over and Ashley started devouring the chocolates and he watched her but his eyes were heavy with sleep. "Sing me a song, I want to sleep. " Ashley demanded. She had finished the chocolates and was now on the bed. Two hours had passed since she began her dramatic reaction. Jason kept heaving deep sighs that night. He moved closer to her with the heaviness in his eyes. He brushed his hands through her back and sang randomly. "my sweet, daring wife, so beautiful. She is the most precious treasure on earth.
