She blinked again and the color changed, becoming an intense blue that recalled the waves. She did it again and this time her eyes turned red, like the flames of a raging fire.

Tae leaned in, conspiratorial and ridiculous all at once. “Brother—help—me.” Zane barked a laugh that had no humor inside it and then, because Tae demanded it and the urgency of the moment mattered more than his pride, he dropped to one knee and barked, “Hyung! Help me!” The younger burst into delighted laughter.
