Taken By My Stepfather Novel Nate And Jenny Mga Nobela at Kwento

In the right order at roughly the right speed, the last one landing underneath the third the way it is supposed to, the way it does the thing it does. My father says: "Oh." Just that. The same syllable he produced at a kitchen counter last Wednesday when I told him I was going to ask him to walk me down the aisle. Kane, from the doorway: "Show-off." And Richie, from the sofa, quietly, to nobody: "She got it in two." *** We stay in there for another hour. I do not remember what we talk about. That is not the part I kept. What I kept is this: a room in the east wing of a penthouse I was brought to as collateral, with the door open, and four people in it, three of whom did not exist in my life

He turned me around to face him. Up close, Julian Vane was terrifying. He was forty-two, nearly twice my age, with silver hitting the temples of his dark hair and eyes the color of a winter sea. He’d been my stepfather for three years, a man of few words and cold checkbooks. I’d spent those years avoiding him, ducking into hallways when I heard his heavy tread, feeling his gaze on the back of my neck at every dinner. “Julian, let go. People are watching,” I hissed, glancing at the few lingering mourners.

I didn’t respond. Instead, I typed: How did they get inside? Three dots appeared. Disappeared. Then: They never left. Cold washed over me. I replayed the night. The knock. The warning. The phone buzz. The sudden withdrawal. They stepped back too easily. Too clean. A distraction. “They kept one inside,” I said quietly. My mother’s eyes widened. “How?” “Before we got home. During the first knock. Or—” The attic. My head snapped upward.

Harper teased. "Uh, I, um," Nathan was unable to say anything. "Oh my god, Nathan. Stop stuttering and explain everything to your brother," Harper reminded. "Ah, I forgot about that," Nathan scratched his head, "Uh, about that, I don't know how to explain this to you. I don't know how you see all of this, but Joseph me and Stephan are in love with each other," Harper cheered with a stranger noise," Yeah, Nephan. In this house, we ship Nephan."

MIGUEL I woke up late to sunlight stabbing through the cracked window. The mattress sagged under me as I turned to the edge. The sheets were uncomfortably tangled from a night of tossing and turning. It was one thing to be restless over some creep stalking me at my place of work. It was a whole other thing to have that same man at my doorstep, hands all over my stepmother, shooting me that look of satisfaction. Emily’s giddy announcement twisted my gut all over again. Stepfather. The word tasted like bile. I rubbed my eyes, hard, trying to scrub it all away, but my hands shook.

Jenny walked to stand beside my stepmother, glowing with satisfaction. Nichola’s eyes and mine finally met. His eyes widened when he noticed it was me. He looked stunned. He placed his drink down, taking a step forward. When Jenny noticed him, she immediately walked up to him, pulled him back, and placed his hands on her stomach as she whispered something to him. I looked towards my step mom and back at them, wondering how she got to him so fast. His expression, and an annoyed Jenny, gave me a little sense of satisfaction.

I didn't know fantasizing about my stepfather would get me caught by him someday until the day he walked in on me doing……..

I hated that he sounded proud. Nathan leaned back. “Start talking.” I already knew resistance was pointless so I told him not everything but the important highlights—waking up, finding myself in a strange room, Darius showing up, trying to leave, the argument with Kael and the security escort. Nathan listened quietly, occasionally nodding, frowning and looking like he was trying not to laugh. Then I made a very terrible mistake, I mentioned Stephanie. The second her name left my mouth, something changed in Nathan's expression.

Jenny was quite pretty and could be considered one of the top beauties in this average small town. Although she just reached adulthood, her figure had developed better than many adult women. Crusty and his underlings had set their eyes on Jenny for a while, but when Jenny’s father was around, they could not do anything. Now that Jenny's father was dead, they could hardly wait to take advantage of the situation. “You! I’ll never agree to this!” Jenny stepped back and grabbed the door handle, trying to close the door while the other party was not paying attention.

If it were anyone else, I would've admired this rare masculine beauty but he looked old enough to be my father and worst of all, he was a stranger, one who was probably a few seconds from either killing me for trespassing or calling the cops. “Can you please let me go? It's late and I have school in the morning.” I said still, struggling underneath him. “You didn't think of that when you broke in, did ya?” He grinned. “I didn't break in.” “Then if you actually worked here, why didn't you walk through the front door like a decent human being? Hmm?” He mused. Goddamit, he'd seen through my lie. Now, what is he going to do? Kill me? Have me arrested? No. I couldn't get arrested not when I'm sti
