I fisted my hands together, rage building up within me as I waited for his explanation. “You do not have a wolf so that makes you a human. As an Alpha, I cannot mate with a human. I need a Luna who would be my strength and not my weakness. So I, Alpha Alessandro Adler, of the Silver moon pack, reject Levana McKenna as my mate.” I felt hot all over. For a second I couldn't breathe. I felt like someone was choking me up…and at that moment I knew I lost. Before I could even ponder on what happened, a hot slap shot across my face and it was from a lady, I had seen her with the Alpha twice but I don't know who she is.

Talia was surprised by the action but knowing he might be her new owner she looked at the ground beneath her. " Hello beautiful. My name is Damien. " he said with a friendly smile. Talia just replied with a simple hello not knowing if she was needed to state her name or if the guy already knew it. Through the years her aunt has been able to crush the strong headed girl she once was. If it were back then she'd definitely have not accepted to be pushed around. Talin nodded quickly, but his gaze kept darting to the trees as if he expected the dark to rise up and swallow him. “What did you see?” Abel asked, blunt as always. Talin swallowed. “I saw Crimson Rogue. I saw the one they call Toren with her. The angry one.” “Toren,” Ronan said, keeping his voice calm. “Yes,” Talin whispered. “He kept saying her name like it was a prayer. He was following her like… like she was the only thing he had left.” Ronan’s chest tightened. Grief made men stupid. Grief made men lethal. His mind went to Xavier unbidden.

“Fucking A.” “Why aren’t you interested? Most men are,” the rogue choked out with emotion, pleading with her bright, feverish eyes. She bit down on her bottom lip as I stepped closer. As she looked up at me, I noted there was a sadness in her eyes. I realized her eyes reminded me a lot of my own—the same very icy shade of blue. I softened toward her and asked, “What’s your name?” “Talia,” she replied as a tear slid down her cheek.

The crown prince had the power to go wherever he wished. “Are those werewolves,” I questioned Valerian, gawking at some wolves whose furs had stripes of white and red. The big one sat on the grass, and the smaller ones were playing with her tail. His face turned serious for a moment but went relaxed when he looked out to see them. “No, Those are actual wolves. Nothing special to worry about,” he chuckled, pulling his head back into the carriage. “How can you tell the difference?” I asked again, trying to hide my confusion.

All the men were staring at me head to toe, some even whistled. Hayden let out a warning growl, telling them not to stare at his mate. I walked down and took Hayden's hand. "Stunning." He whispered to me. I blushed. "Today we are here to present my mate, Annabel Ferrars, as the new Luna. " He turned to face me. "Annabel Ferrars. Will you sacrifice yourself to protect your pack?" "I will." "Will you uphold your title as Luna and do your duties with pride?"

I will not let that happen. Loud knocking interrupted my thoughts. “Come in.” I growled. One of my warriors rushed inside. He was out of breath, and he was looking at me wide-eyed. “What?” I snapped at him. “Alpha, Beta, Alpha Drake.” he greeted us, breathing heavily. “Our trackers spotted a rogue wolf in the forest while they were searching. They said he disappeared into the ground. They think there could be an underground hiding place. They are there, waiting for your orders, Alpha.”

Talon Avery paced back and forth in front of the school library. His tense posture and scowling expression kept friend and foe at bay, though it didn't deter any from keeping track of his every move. When a lethal weapon was barely contained, it paid to be on the alert, and damn near everyone on campus was aware that Talon was about to blow his top and unleash his infamous temper on all and sundry. Thankfully it was a known fact that only those in the direct line of fire ever felt the full force of his wrath.

TALON Talon is standing in his chambers, fastening the leather straps of his armor with deliberate precision. The thought of going to Silvercrest Pack with Phoenix made his jaw tighten.
