Stepping closer to his camp I watch as he takes off his soaked hoodie and tosses it to the ground next to the fire, I watch from the shadows ahead he reaches for the hem of his shirt and starts to lift up exposing a small amount of smooth skin. Stepping closer to try and get a better lock I step on a twig making it snap. "Hello" he calls out letting his shirt fall back into place. I stand still "If I'm trespassing on Night Moon territory I can leave" he's smart I'll give him that and he knows of our existence which makes revealing myself to him easier. The only difference was that Em was smirking while Alessa was grinning like an idiot. "What?" I asked them, annoyed. "Announcements of our success are to be made soon. Now, if you will excuse us, pretty boy" Alessa said as she pointed towards his one hand on my butt and other on my waist. We instantly let go off eachother. "I am Tanner, by the way" He said after the great moment of silence. "Tanner? As in Tanner Heathmen?" Alessa asked with wide eyes, while Em stood there confused. Tanner grinned, "the one and only" he said.

Marla stepped in, a file in her hands. “I got the papers you asked for,” she said, laying them down in front of me. “Thanks,” I muttered, not looking up. She hesitated. “You sure you want to keep digging?” I finally looked at her. “I need to know who he is.” She gave a slow nod. “You’re not going to like it.” I opened the file. And froze. Reed wasn’t just some random man. He had a past. A real one. “Why didn’t anyone know this before?” I asked, flipping through the pages.

Noah stepped up beside me, and Atlas moved to stand by Jenny. “Explain, Reed,” Noah demanded. I looked at him, then back at Jenny, who was looking at me as if she didn't see me at all. “He beat up the guy who killed his father,” Taylor answered for me. “I helped him get away, and in exchange, he got me out of that place.” She looked at Jenny, who was now looking at her too. “Look, lady, I don't know what you think is going on here,” she gestured between us, “but that’s what happened.”
