The mocking glint in his eye sparkled like a challenge, as he deliberately invoked her defunct title, a cruel reminder of her lost status.
Inayat's gaze flashed with disgust, her lips parting to unleash a sharp retort. "Though your dream has come true, you're nothing but a tyrant to me. You may have power over me, but never my spirit," she spat, her voice trembling with defiance, "still basking in the glory of your own pride, which could swallow the mightiest mountains whole. I'm not scared of you," she lied, her voice barely above a whisper, "if only you knew, traitor, I'll never submit to you willingly."
