He looked at her slowly, his eyes cold, sharp, filled with a dangerous calm. His expression didn’t soften; if anything, it sharpened.
Tatiana’s posture stayed straight, fingers lightly folded in front of her, waiting for his acknowledgement.
“It’s either we sink,” she said quietly, “or she sinks.”
David blinked. “What do you mean?”
