Her Professor

Her Professor

+=+=+ “Go home and do research on what I gave you and submit it next weekend via mail. Class dismissed.” Two hours later, the class ended, and everyone rushed out. The class was clear and pretty better than whatever his assistants tried to teach us. For the first time, it seemed as if a part of my brain cleared out to understand the course. I was going to ace the tests and exam from here on out.

Her Wolf King

Her Wolf King

Teach me. "Then release Bridge," Together said. "Release the twenty-two. Free them. Let them go. Not as surrender. As first lesson. As first step. As first act of being more than only Hunger. You keep them imprisoned because you hunger. You consume their suffering because you need. You devour their agony because you are Hunger. That is what you are. But you can choose to be more. Can choose to restrain. Can choose to release. Not because you stop being Hunger. But because you become Hunger who chooses. Hunger who decides. Hunger who acts rather than only reacts. Release Bridge. Choose restraint. Decide release. Act with intention. That is first lesson. That is first step. That is beginning o

THE PROTÉGÉ

THE PROTÉGÉ

He stared at me and at the arm wrapped around me before looking away. "Well, she's worth all the wait, my friend," Leo said with a grin to his friend before addressing Maya again. "Princess Maya, allow me to introduce my protégé, Advica." He paused to put a tender kiss on my temple. "And no, I'm not the one behind her state." Maya took a deep breath as she kept his gaze for a few seconds before turning her attention to me.

The First Alpha

The First Alpha

It was an herb garden heaven with even rare herbs like saffron, marjoram, and mullein growing in abundance. There was a tiny wooden cabin next to the garden and Callie was inside, looking at the volumes of books, potions, and ointments. "So many spellbooks! It's amazing!" She was too lost to pay attention to my words. I opened one of the books and found the runic alphabet. Even the calendar hung on the wall was runic. I barely recognized what those angular letters meant although I was forced to learn them for a couple of fortnights. Argus made sure I studied in secret. Princess Amara's pedagogue was my pedagogue too, but we had to meet in secret.

"Once upon a time..." gave me the feels! You know, I often get bored when the starting line of a book isn't catchy or enough to fix my eyes on the next words but this one got me. Narration is great because it made me imagine every scene. Best of luck, author! ♥

Maid To Be

Maid To Be

How soft those words were, yet they bore much weight in my ears. She was my only comfort at this point. My only push. And in her arms, sobbing my heart out, I had soon fallen to a night, I hoped would drown my pains. NOTE: A prologue is an introductory section of a piece of literature, especially of plays, that precedes the inciting action of the story. The prologue is often designed to explain background or reveal context to the audience, so they better understand the story that follows.

Teach Me (The Gentlemen's Club: Book One)

She had clearly heard the amusement in the professor's voice. "What we are going to do is master them by heart, so when your pupils or students ask about it. You will know what to answer. And most importantly, you will know how to teach it." Feeling at ease despite the incident with the bitches, her lips curve in a smile. She loved kids. That's why she was here. "But before that. I want to introduce myself." He turned to walk towards the whiteboards. Nice butt. Sinclair! Nicholas Stafford VI, Ph.D. in Education. Major in World Literature and Natural Science.

Excellent writing. Captivating story! I love how it isn't the typical playboy chasing the innocent girl, but a guy who, while not a virgin, kept it in his pants until getting engaged to the woman he wanted to marry. I can't wait to read his friends' stories!!

Second Bloom

Second Bloom

One is about the method. She reads them together: The practice exists to slow down the speed at which real things are replaced by their simplified versions. Look first. Understand second. Say third. She closes the notebook. Opens it again. Adds one more line: This is what Clara will carry from us. Not the clients or the briefs or the foundation. This sentence. Look first. Understand second. Say third. And below that, because she cannot help herself: She already knows it. She has always known it. We just gave her the language.
