Is Prologue Before Or After Novels & Stories

Hey hey, I just want to warn you the first few chapters are set up. Character introductions and history that I oringinally had spread throughout the book but it disturbed the flow so I organized it to be at the beginning. I hope you enjoy the book! Prologue --------17 years ago------ { Kyda } “I won’t say I told you so.” I rolled my eyes inwardly and visibly. I knew that this conversation was coming since the event that morning. “You had no way of truly knowing before today. It was just a hope you had, purely speculation,” I retorted.

The word after had a different quality now. Before the resolution, after had been a theoretical territory, the place the present was moving toward but had not yet reached. A horizon that the work was oriented toward without being visible from where the work was happening. After the filing. After the acknowledgment. After the statement. After the resolution. Now it was simply where I was. Standing in the after without the before pressing against me from behind, the specific quality of having arrived somewhere rather than moving toward it.

Arghhhh I should have read the epilogue first. 'Epilogue before Prologue' is the motto of people who have trust issue. Those who have trusted but were disappointed. That's why I don't want to get attached to the characters! Because are not even real yet they still do die. Now I'm starting to have trust issues. When I get the book back from the dog. I will surely read the epilogue first, I'm afraid all of those romantic dialogues would be washed down in vain! All of my expectations might crumble like a sand castle. Even though I might have learned some important things, I could never relax, and don't trust too much.
