With a mischievous look on her face, Cassie slyly placed a velvet bag on the table.
“Okay, ladies, tea time,” she said, and everyone giggled—everyone except for Jade. She sat across from me, her eyes fixed on my face. She didn’t seem nearly as excited as the other women. Her face was locked in an unreadable expression.
“What is this?” I asked, glancing at the velvet bag.
“It’s a game,” Cassie said. “It’s full of names of people in the pack. I’ll draw a name, and whoever has some gossip about that person slaps their leg. The first person that does it gets a point.”
