"A game does not care about your history; it only knows what you brought today." His words stayed with me. The locker room was alive with energy, laughter, and rough banter echoing off the metal lockers and tiled walls. Some of the guys were already half-dressed, pulling on their cleats and adjusting their gloves. Others lounged on benches, drinking water and throwing baseballs from one hand to the other. There were old trophies lining the top shelf that ran around the room, posters from previous championships, and a large team photo pinned to the bulletin board. As new guys trickled in, they were met with shouts and cheers.

So that I have no regrets in the end. I slowly turned my back on him and walked away. "You girls go ahead. I will just put these books in my locker,” I said to them when the last class for the day ended. They both nodded. "We will wait for you in the parking lot," Elize said. I nodded and continued arranging my things. The locker room is in the other building so it will take me a while. The girl's locker room is separated from the boys. The restrooms are also there, so they are separated.

I wish this had been the first time I was using it but I’d already used it a handful of times. Quietly, I shut the door behind me and walked through the lounge into the main hallway. It was so creepy being at school with all the lights off other than the ones that stayed on for the emergency exits. The girls locker room had its own set of lockers and I continued to keep one even though I should be part of a sport to get one. I kept an extra pair of jeans, shirt and sweatshirt along with a towel.

The locker room door closed behind us with a soft hydraulic hiss. The sound echoed in the empty space—tile walls, metal lockers, faint steam still hanging from someone’s earlier shower. Fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, harsh and unflinching. No cameras back here. No windows. Just us.

It wasn’t just luxury, but it was warm. Each boy had a locker — dented metal, covered in stickers and scribbles: Felix + 88, Jaylen was here, Marco <3. They stored little treasures inside — secondhand sneakers, old photographs, half-empty bottles of cologne. Things they couldn’t carry on the streets. The rules were posted in the hallway, scrawled in sharpie on cracked tile: 1. No fighting inside. 2. No stealing from each other. 3. No blood on the floor.

I squirmed and ran out of the locker room. That was close! I stood at the entrance of the locker room and raise a brow in disbelief as I stared at the sign above. It is tagged 'Male's locker room'. WHY THE FUCK IS THE PAINT AND DESIGN THE SAME? SOMEONE COULD EASILY MISTAKE BOTH OF THEM.

He looked at Jake. "Showers. Five minutes," Braden said. Jake nodded. He finished putting away the last of the clean towels and waited until the last player left. The locker room went quiet. The only sound was the hum of the ventilation system. Jake walked to the showers. They were in the back of the locker room, a big open room with white tile and metal shower heads. There were no doors. No privacy. Just open space where anyone could walk in and see the quarterback getting his dick sucked by a dude.

I hadn't backed down. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen- lockers!" Couach's voice carried across the gym, firm but not unkind. Inside the locker room, the air was filled with the sharp scent of deodorant and shampoo. The chatter of the girls filled the space as everyone began peeling off sweaty clothes and tugging on jeans, skirts, or whatever they had for the rest of the day. I slid onto a bench in front of my locker, pulling my bag closer.

"For how long have you been in this school? I asked. "I started as a grade 7 students in this school" He said then I wowed again though we're apparently in grade 8. Don't get it twisted, 'GRADES' is an American education system to identify a junior high school student. We walked into the Court room casually. Then I saw the two different groups that has engaged in the competition few minutes back. The Court room were tensed up as people were mumbling. then I overheard a voice yelling. "Hey loser, what are you doing here, go get your freaking losers out here" the strange voice said then people laughed out loud.

Her little girl could get a hold of it thinking it was a toy. “I have loads of customers who are parents. They lock their guns up or put them somewhere that a child can’t reach it.” Layla thought about it. Perhaps she could lock one of the pieces in her vanity dresser in the bedroom. One of the drawers had a lock on it. She licked her lips. “Or you can keep them here. We have lockers for people who are members. The locker room has cameras, and the locks we give out are very secure. Someone will need a blow torch to get through our locks,” Lou said.
