The Devil's Debt

The Devil's Debt

Lucian’s note had come with a final line: “The devil doesn’t wear horns. He wears charm. Find his weakness.” Ayla exhaled slowly. She was no longer Ayla Monroe. Not here. Tonight, she was a ghost. Inside, the gala pulsed with orchestrated elegance. Women in gowns worth more than Ayla’s rent glided past men with blood-stained hands wrapped in Armani. Waiters floated by with champagne. It would’ve been beautiful if she didn’t know who half these people were — or what they’d done to get here. Lucian’s voice echoed in her mind: “Serrano traffics secrets. You’ll be one of them by midnight if you fail.”

THE DEVIL'S CLAIM

THE DEVIL'S CLAIM

DANTE'S POV People call me the Devil of New York. They're not wrong. I've killed men for less than a dirty look. I've gutted rats who thought they could steal from me. I've fucked women who begged for mercy and made them beg for more pain instead. My empire runs on blood, loyalty, and fear. That's the only language this rotten world understands. And tonight, I reminded everyone of it. Crawford thought he could play me. Thought he could borrow money from my syndicate, promise returns, and then ghost like I'm some dumb fuck banker. No. You don't spit in my face and walk away.

“Something that can be both profitable and detrimental.” This chat makes me sick because I do not understand what he is saying. However, I will follow the devil's game while I look for an opening to escape from here. Where I'm going, I still don't know. “So gray,” I scoffed. “I'm sorry, good devil, but I don't know what you're talking about; just get to the point.” The devil suddenly acted as if he was not a long-haired devil. He folded one hand behind him and raised the other hand, as if preparing to explain something to a friend or student with full appreciation.

SATOU, D.
The story was very detailed. It was good. I like how the author made it. It was like a professional estimated novel. Good for the readers who can understand better. Notw: I skipped the news and more. I scanned it. 10 for the scene. 8 for the dialogue. Over all almost 10.

The storyline is quite interesting, although we don't that need the news part so much. The dialogue and the scene is balanced, so far. I mean, it's like 50/50 if I may say. Overall, good. Can't wait for another chapter and cliffhanger 🙈

Negotiating with the Devil

Negotiating with the Devil

There was a look on her face I couldn't place my hand on. I grin. "I'll be back." I hollered back at her and if she noticed that I didn't give my word to her request she didn't reply. I couldn't stay away from trouble when I was on my way to send a man to the other side. I was the Devil's assistant and the least of my problem was a little trouble.

Caught by the Alphas

Caught by the Alphas

"Who gave you my phone number? And what makes you think it's a good idea to disturb someone's sleep?" "The Devil did; he said hi," I whisper. "That's why I'm offering salvation before it's too late. The Devil's close; he's here to take everything you love and everything that is important to you. Be it your children, your mistresses, money or power." I keep my voice low and as quiet as possible simply because I want to. When I mess with someone like him, I feel like a movie star, and boy, do I enjoy it. "Fuck off!" He barks louder than expected. Where's the courtesy to warn someone before you want to scream and make someone's ears bleed?

I love this book! It’s definitely one of my favorites. I’ve noticed that the only negative ratings were some comments about the ending but the storyline is continued in the next book, Claimed by the Alphas, so I wouldn’t let that deter you. Great job author!

Especially when the Devil added, “I never thought you were able to reject your mate once, then there's a foolishness of yours to think she will never be a part of the plan. The Devil's Dust

The Devil's Dust

I whisper in fear. Tsking, and biting his lip, he shakes his head. “Oh, no. Don’t think of it like that,” he says sweetly, his nefarious smile shifting to sweet and beautiful. “I’m just a fragment of dust of what you may term as the devil. So small and useless until I’m given instructions by my boss. In this case, Mr. Memphis, otherwise known as Devlin, and the water of power he pours to me in form of instructions, stirs my little particles into a pile of mud and I get my power from him. But for now, I’m nothing more than a human just like you and everyone else in your little world.”

A Devil Who Wants To Be A Human

A Devil Who Wants To Be A Human

“THE FOOD THAT MADE ME LOSE AN ARM WOULD FEEL DELICIOUS.” And again Abelard hears the devil is speaking. ‘It seems it can really speak.’ In the mind of Abelard, that big voice that was heard from the devil was very grueling to his ears. “This is the first time I met a devil like you.” “Tell me, how can you understand our language!?” Instead of answering Abelard’s question, the devil instead laughs at Abelard. Abelard begins to heat up because of the annoying devil’s behavior. “Answer me! You damn devil! Stop laughing!”
