Tell You Once Tell You Twice นิยาย & เรื่องราว

A great man once said, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." He should have added an "aw, fuck it" on the end? That's the part I can't get right. "Fuck it, and fuck you," I say it, and I think it, and I never believe it. You got me. Damn you, Trinity, you got me. The goddamn woman just blew a fucking hole right through the entrance on the far east side of the property.

The way things are built to last. Let him. Don't make him prove it more than once. He won't know how to prove it twice and he won't understand why you need him to. He will think once was clear. He will be right that once was clear. Trust that.

They made it. But barely. And just when they thought they were safe… Anaïs’s phone buzzed again. A new message. No number. Just one line. “You made the wrong choice.”

I typed quickly. “This isn’t funny anymore.” The message delivered. Seen. No reply. For a moment, I thought maybe it was over. Maybe whoever was behind this had pushed far enough. Maybe. The phone vibrated again. “You have 5 minutes.” My breath caught. Another message followed immediately. “Leave your apartment.” I stared at the screen. “No,” I whispered. Not this time. Not again. I had already followed once. That didn’t mean I had to keep doing it. “I’m not doing anything you say,” I typed firmly.

You got one night and then you did not get another, and the reason for the pattern — the reason he had offered to tell me and I had refused to hear — was sitting in this room with us right now, apparently, and it had just made him pull away. "I see," I said. "Ember—" "You have had your one time," I said. My voice came out cooler than it had been a minute ago — the specific temperature of someone putting something back in order. "That is what this is. You already had the one night and whatever the rule is, whatever the famous Knox Rivers rule actually means—" I stopped. "That is what just happened." "That is not—" "You cannot do it twice," I said. "That is your reputation. One time, never twi

“Why do I have to say the words twice when you only said them once?” “If you say them again, I’ll give you a reward.” How cunning! He was trying to tempt her once more. “You’ll have to tell me beforehand what kind of reward I’m getting.” She was not so easily fooled this time.

Edwin said helplessly, “I know. You’ve already said it countless times. Some things only need to be said once or twice.” “And that’s because you’re such a damn menace—how could I not repeat myself?” “I’ve already told you that I’m serious about her. How many times do I need to say it before you believe me?” Some things only needed to be said once or twice. Say it too many times, and even the patience between family would wear thin. Even if the other person was his own father, it was no exception. Seeing Edwin’s impatient expression, Philip knew he had said too much again.

He cleared my doubt in a second just as it was building. “But I can't be too sure. It worked once, so we know you can make it work for several questions we would be asking her…” He sounded so serious and professional that you had to see the point with him. “Okay…just one more time.” ~~~~~

Shouldn't I be here? '''what do you wanna talk???? I have already told you and please leave me alone now. I am too tired and I am not gonna give you any explanation. So please leave me alone.''' ''''No, that's not happening. I am not going without hearing your answer. Tell me what did I do???? Did I do something wrong???? Why are you punishing me and yourself too???? You know that I love you and you know that know and I can feel that you love me too.''''

“I don’t understand you , Aria.” “I know.” “But,” he continued, “I understand one thing.” She waited. “If people hurt you,” he said slowly, choosing each word, “you don’t sit down and bleed quietly.” Her eyes lifted. “You fight back,” he went on. “Those who caused you pain. Those who made you cry. Those who broke you.” She swallowed. “You make it sound easy.” “It’s not,” he said. “But letting it roll off your back is worse.” She searched his face. “Why are you telling me this?”
