Damon laughed as if I was funny. I can't lose here because even though I'm an omega, I'm strong! I will not let myself be defeated in front of Amoux. “But yours—” “Both of them are lit up,” I said, “What does that even mean?” “Truly, you have developed omega traits, but you still have your Alpha traits,” Gerard said, “which is weird, because my drugs don’t work this way.” Gerard began his medical gibberish about how Alphas and omegas have an extra part of the brain called something that sounded like what could summon a demon, how his drug altered that part and neurotransmitter, breaking genetic sheath—whatever the fuck that meant.

This led the moon goddess to rain down her wrath upon her people, and after a hundred years of drought and famine in the five Kingdoms, the moon goddess — Cessi, listened to the prayers of her people and gave each Kingdom an Omega. An Omega is a rare and special creation with distinct features of a crescent moon on their forehead. The people were advised to treat the Omegas as embodiments of the moon goddess herself and once in a year an anniversary is held in the name of the moon goddess, whereby the Omegas are to dance traditionally to glorify her name.

“Trouble me as much as you want” ‘Do you want to get sent to the ORC? Do you want them to come pick you up? Because they come to places like this, searching for omegas like you’. Her breath hitches. “I’m not t-the kind of omega for someone like you…I’m not what you think I am”. “I’m worthless…so please…”.

I ignored them for now, focusing on Nova. She tilted her head slightly, green eyes sharp and calculating. “Observing isn’t the same as interfering,” she said. “You want to see strength? Watch carefully.” I crouched low, muscles coiled, and watched. The young Omegas moved through a series of exercises: jumps, careful navigation of hidden obstacles, silent coordination, quick responses. Nova guided them with precision, correcting mistakes, praising successes, always calm, always in control.
