Fated to the Alphas
“Just… stay out of my way.”
He turned to leave, boots echoing on the floor. But then he stopped, shoulders rising and falling sharply, and looked back at me.
“I never noticed your eyes before,” he said quietly. “They look different in the light.”
And just like that, he was gone, leaving me in the echo of his words…and in the awareness that I wasn’t just facing one Alpha anymore. The other three were there, watching, waiting, reacting in ways I didn’t fully understand.
I clutched the basket, feeling the pull of something I couldn’t fight. My heart thudded painfully, the knowledge that my life had just grown far more complicated sinking into me.
