Romans & histoires The Alpha King And His Second Chance

It was a sacrifice that I thought was going to haunt me for the rest of my life, but right now at this moment I felt like fate was in play, and that I was going to get my second chance with him, that’s if he finds it in his heart to forgive me. Another growl radiates from within the wall before a burst of cement comes flying in our direction, and Urijah quickly turns with me in his arms, to shield me from the debris. A growl of authority like I have never heard before echoes off the walls of the foyer, making me want to drop to my knees, but I fight it, as I know that it is the Alpha King standing his ground, by showing his dominance.

Yet, still I hoped the con was working. This was truly the only play I had open to myself. The Alpha King watched me for a moment, then slowly stepped down from his throne. As he came closer, I felt a familiar tug, like I could trust him. How could that be, though, when the man very nearly had my mate killed? As he came nearer, under his breath, he cursed, “What manner of trickery is this? Is she truly a witch? Have I… too… fallen under her spell?”

"A king who dies chasing a human woman and her friend into a trap he should have seen coming is a cautionary tale. Alaric intends for the council to remember exactly which one you became tonight." Ronan drove his fist into the nearest guard's jaw hard enough to send the man crumpling to the stone floor, not slowing his fury even as the numbers pouring down the stairwell became audible enough to count. "Kellan. Exit." "Working on it," Kellan snarled, blocking a strike aimed at his ribs, sweat and blood mixing along his temple from a cut Marlowe hadn't noticed him take. "There's a second passage, the one the scouts mapped as a fallback. West wall, past the old grain stores."

"Oh my, that explains the fresh scent of fruits that sometimes hit my nose Alpha. You have good business in here." He let out a soft chuckle, while he lead the way into a huge double doors. Alpha Ace, stood for maybe two inches above me six foot and just a few inches taller than me. However, I am still growing every year with a few inches more and I will be taller than him sooner or later. "Just a little bit of business to keep us live a lavished life. But it's nothing compared to the family fortune of you father the Alpha King."

At first, he gave both brother-sisters privacy to talk, even though werewolves have higher hearing than normal people, so he just walked a little bit far away to provide them with privacy. But who is he? He is Alpha, and above that, he is King; his power is something even the normal werewolves can’t compare. So he can hear everything and understands that the previous incident has hurt Mia very badly, and she hesitates to forgive. But this is normal; after all, if something like this happens to anyone, they will definitely feel bad, and her approach is right on this matter. But he is surprised; Mia has the unbreakable trust in those humans, which made him change something in his eyes.

I would have done the same in his position. Reagan’s punch made it clear how angry he was. He had never hit me that hard in my life, but I had never seen him this angry in his life either. That’s when one of the recruits shouted, “Get him! He assaulted the Alpha King. I wanted to tell Reagan everything in my own time. But now I had mere seconds. “I was crowned Alpha King a day after your funeral.” Reagan’s confused face told me he hadn’t figured it out yet. But his face softened as Phillip appeared carrying the most beautiful young woman I had ever laid my eyes on. “Mate,” Hawk whimpered. I wanted to snatch her from Phillip and claim her here and now. But there is a protocol for the Alpha Ki

Across the reception area, through the clusters of guests and swaying couples, a man stands watching me. Even from this distance, I know who he is. Arthur Slater. The new Alpha King. He's tall, broad-shouldered, wearing a charcoal suit that fits perfectly. Dark hair, sharp features, and an aura of command that makes everyone give him space without realizing they're doing it. But it's his eyes that hold me frozen—silver, piercing, seeing too much. Our gazes lock, and the world narrows to just this moment. The mate bond slams into me like a physical force, stealing my breath. Heat floods my body, my wolf suddenly alert and awake in a way she hasn't been since I left Moonridge.

“Get me the King. Fix a meeting or something and make sure that he agrees to see me. If he doesn't want to, then don't come back here.” The Beta stood there, confused by what he was talking about. “The King? What King, Alpha?” He was already in a very bad mood, and he didn't need more issues, but his Beta was being stupid. “I mean the Prince of the Rogues, you bastard!” The Beta ran away before his head was taken for the sake of what he knew nothing about. Later that afternoon, Alpha Kane walked into the camp of the Rogues and stood before the King. The King welcomed him, happy to see him.

The Alpha King comfortably sat on his throne, wearing his crown. "I'm not marrying Miguel Blackthorn, Alpha. Claudius had claimed me as his second chance, and before I could claim another mate. Claudius needs to reject me first!" I said. The Alpha King eyed the door, expecting someone to show up, and at the exact moment, I turned to the door. Claudius slowly made his way to the throne. "Claudius!" I said, and I was about to walk towards him, but the coldness in his eyes made me still.

You may rise my subjects, Coincidently the babies kicked making cara and lucas gasp as they looked at each other with faces filled with big smiles and happy tears .
