~Emerald~ My eyes laid onto the children of this pack as they ran into our car. James and I looked at each other because of them. “What's going on?” I whispered. James went out of the car first to open the door for me. As I stepped outside the car, I was suddenly stunned when these little pups met us with a hug. Since we're tall compared to them, they are hugging us to our legs. “The Alpha King is here!” “We finally meet the Alpha King!”

The next hour passed in a blur, Alpha Aeron and Sinclair vanished from sight, and I was stuck with Grandmother Philomena as she met and made small talk with all the important people here. My! She must have an excellent memory to recall who was who. I, of course, was made to learn the names of all the important ranked werewolves of every allied pack, but I still didn’t recognise half of these. Silence befell the entire room when the announcer steps forward. Everyone's attention turns to him. “Announcing the presence of the Alpha of Alphas! Alpha King Ambrose Vilkas and his Queen Danciana Vilkas of the Moonstone Pack!”

Davina, Jasper, Lana, Matteo, our pups and I are at the camp ground enjoying much needed time away. It was a bit crazy when they returned home. There was much to be done and the alliance was happy that Creig was defeated. The alliance declared Matteo the Alpha King of all werewolves. We had his ceremony and induction as Alpha King. We spent months as a family prepping for our new pups. Matteo and I had twins. Boys named Henry and James. They are a handful, but we love them. Lana is happy to be a big sister.

Just the two of us at first, but one day, there'd be pups. Shaking my head, I pick up the phone. I must be moon mad if I'm thinking about pups. "King?" The Tucson Alpha sounds like he's marking his voice deeper. At twenty-nine, he's one of the youngest Alphas in the states. It helps that his father runs a big pack in Phoenix, and barks Garrett's claim of the territory. "Just wanted to check in."

Instinctively, I stopped just out of sight, my body still while my attention sharpened. “Did you hear what happened to the Moonwalker Pack?” one of the girls whispered, her voice low, edged with fear. “And the Krypta Clan?” “How could anyone not?” the other replied quietly. “The Alpha King wiped them out… well, almost. They say he’s beyond furious.” The first girl inhaled sharply. “Furious enough to slaughter entire packs?” “He’s not stopping,” the second said with certainty. “Not until they pay twice over for their treason.”

Their presence was a testament to the unity and respect that bound us together as a larger wolf community. Alpha Sebastian, a towering figure with a mane of silver-gray fur, approached the throne first. His piercing blue eyes held a mixture of admiration and challenge. "Kyle, Alpha of the Great Pack, I offer my sincerest congratulations," he said, his deep voice resonating through the hall. "May our packs continue to thrive under your leadership."

That's it pet, eyes on me, and only me. "When your Alpha," I step into the doorway, motioning for her to go through, "gives you an order, you follow it." Her pupils dilate in recognition. Smart little pet looks like she has it all figured out, but if she does, she's not showing it. With her head held high, she comes at me without missing a beat, holding her breath the entire time she has to pass me, but that doesn't stop her scent from slamming into me… and something’s going to give.

It was obvious in the way she’d shown up here and how Candido interacted with her. Something was strange about their arrangement. Maybe it had been arranged by their parents, but I couldn’t believe that the former Alpha King hadn’t seen the truth of Sibyl’s personality. I doubted that she had only become like this when she got older, either. The former Alpha King a wise man from what I had heard and a great leader. He had established the Full Moon Pack as the biggest and most powerful pack after generations of fighting between the New Moon, Red Moon, and Full Moon packs.

How could he be angry at her? “You have more to say, don’t you? Why won’t I be an alpha of this pack?” He pulled back and stared straight into her eyes, searching for answers. She pressed herself closer to him, afraid he might bolt. He was slightly amused and prompted her with a look. “Alpha King. That’s the position you would take. Alpha of all alphas, alpha of all werewolves.” Her voice and delivery of those statements were fitting with her perceived personality. She actually sounded mysterious and it sent chills down his back.

They measure the distance so small because they think of me as human and they doubt I will be able to hear their hushed secret talks from so far away. But I can hear them clearly. I can hear them so well that it's sometimes hard to not shiver hearing their brutal talks. Skin him alive. Rip him from limb to limb. The Alpha King killed him today. He ripped the head off a rogue. He killed two pack members for disobeying him in the same week. He changed girls again. He decided to raid a pack and killed every single member there. He did this, he did that, now he is going to do this...Blah Blah.
