With feigned confidence, I look into his eyes and say the words we both knew was coming. “I, Alena king, reject you, Alpha Nathan as my mate, and reject the position of the Luna of the Bloodmoon pack." I see him tense at my words, and his eyes change colour. His wolf wants to take over. I watch him silently for a while, he seems to have an internal argument with his wolf. He seems to win the argument as a satisfied smirk crosses his handsome face, while he smirks evilly. He stands up from the armchair and moves closer to me. He crouches down on the floor where I have been sitting since the identity reveal.

I said, completing what I knew he was about to say. The look in his eyes was all the confirmation I needed. Why was the Alpha's son offering to help pay off my sister's bills with the condition I become his Luna? He could have any woman he wanted just by snapping his fingers. My brain was in a whirlwind of thoughts that troubled me. "Since you know who I am now then you know I'm not playing around." He said calmly. "I will settle your sister's bills if you will be my Luna for a year." He paused and added in a choked voice. "I need this."

So both Aurora and Westin had a chance to decide whether they wanted this person as their mate or not. “…What a pleasant surprise.” Westin walked up to Aurora in one long stride and looked down at her with a charming smile. His thick eyelashes fluttered, underneath which was a set of deep blue eyes. “My mate is you, Alpha Damien’s rejected Luna.” he chuckled. “That is something beyond my wildest dream.” Aurora frowned. The guy was charming for sure. But she didn’t like the way he referred to her as “Damien’s rejected Luna.” She hated to be known for that.

I didn’t greet Grandpa, who was working in the backyard. Slamming the door, I finally said the words that could risk my pup’s life: "I, Felicity Amee Taylor, Daughter of Alpha Stephen Glint, accept your rejection, Massimo De Luca, as my mate and as my Alpha." I gasped when I felt someone grab and squeeze my heart like a lemon but I wasn't done yet. "I, Felicity Amee Taylor, Former Luna of Cresent Moon Pack reject Cresent Moon Pack as my home and pack." I started having a hard time breathing. I tried to keep my eyes open, but the pain was making everything hard for me. I couldn’t breathe, and my eyes started getting heavy.

You miss him, don’t you? How could I miss the same man that never wanted me? That’s impossible. I lied to myself, although my voice was firm and cold, more like I never wanted to set my eyes on Zach anymore. I had to accept the truth that we couldn’t be together anymore, but my wolf thought otherwise. She rumbled in my chest and cried for her mate. I settled into a quiet corner, hoping to lose myself in the story. The book started like any other werewolf novel, talking about full moons and shifting. But then, I turned the page and my breath caught. There was a picture. Not the usual handsome man turning into a wolf, this was different. This wolf was massive with glowing red eyes and thick, dark fur. The caption underneath read, “Cursed Alphas.” It looked… powerful. Intimidating.

The indefinite imprisonment in this estate. All of it traced back to the Nightshade pack. All of it centered on this she-wolf I had tormented for years. Terror overwhelmed me completely. "Alpha Florian!" Lucas suddenly stammered, his voice cracking with desperation. "Young Alpha! I know I was wrong, truly wrong! Please give me another chance!" Without turning to face me she began. “I believe you know what it’s like to be Alpha Cassian’s Luna. He is not an easy man to please so I need you to be at your best. Plus we do not want the other werewolves to know you are a total stranger hired to fulfil the ritual rites”. She gave me a smug look that made the worms in my stomach run into hiding. My legs froze for a minute as I observed her with vagueness in my eyes.

Alpha Bolin turned his head away, and his hand also moved, caring less how I felt that he'd chosen my cousin to be his Luna two days after rejecting me. It was hard to take in what I'd just heard, but the sight of Addison descending the stairs in a long, flowy summer white dress with her face shimmering with makeup demonstrated to the alpha that she was not only with a wolf but also had the beautiful quality of a true luna. I immediately fled the house with tears rolling down my face, rejected not once but twice by him. I thought the first rejection was painful until I witnessed him choosing the one who had made my life so miserable as his Luna and his mate.

“Priestess, please. This must be a prank. The Moon Goddess can’t choose her to be a Luna. She’s weak. She’s an omega. If she can barely heal, how can she stand by the prince and fight wars or rogues? She will doom us all, I promise you.” As if waiting for that, the crowd chants in protest. Maeve might have stated those reasons out of spite, but they make sense.
