My eyes felt tight and itchy in their sockets and when I caught my reflection in a dark screen I saw that the brown of my iris had vanished completely and was replaced by a glowing, unnatural sapphire color that didn't look human anymore. Alessia and Lucien were huddled over a thermal map near the shattered console and they were arguing about the fastest route to the central hub but their voices sounded slow and distorted to me, and the thumping of their hearts was so loud in my head that I had to step away just to breathe without feeling like I was being choked by the sound.

And as the sound echoed, every light in the desert for fifty miles turned a violent, predatory Amber. In his pod, Julian’s finger twitched.

Taking a seat gently and trying to behave herself Amber collected the documents that Alek pushed towards her, there was nothing in the first page as she turned to the next. "What is wrong with the writing I can't see anything!" Amber said out loud as she kept flipping the pages. "Need mine?" Alek said raising a pair of glasses and holding it towards her, Amber stared at the hand and not the glasses, it was veiny and his fingers were long was what was in her mind as Alek pushed the glasses closer looking up at him she shook her head as she actually took her time to imagine how he would look like on glasses, it reminded her that she knew nothing about him and she was about to give nine months

With a swift flick of his wrist— Whoosh! The jade amulet responded to the call, soaring through the air and landing with a sureness in Alexander's open hand. It was the spitting image of the one Chrissy had left behind, save for one detail: the intricate patterns within that jade amulet shimmered with a subtle glow, unlike the one from Caleb, which had dimmed to nearly nothing. "What is this..." As Alexander grasped the jade amulet, Amber, who was right next to him, did not pick up on anything out of the ordinary. However, Alexander was struck by a jolt, his eyes lighting up with a wild joy he had never felt before.

She looked at the dual weapons, then at her reflection in a polished shield. The girl staring back was familiar, but transformed. Pale skin, sharpened canines just visible, and those impossible eyes—one blood, one gold. "I can do this," she said, to herself as much as anyone. Cara appeared beside her, holding out a pair of specialized sunglasses. "For the light sensitivity. And these." She offered earplugs that looked high-tech. "Gradual filters. Start at 90% noise reduction, work your way down." As the team loaded into the armored transport, Amy took the seat beside Bryan. He looked at her, really looked, and saw the fear beneath the determination.

Silas nodded, wary. Arden stood still for a moment, then moved to the side table, pouring water into a glass. His movements were sharp. Controlled. “You fight well,” he said. “But you don’t flinch like a wolf with no past.” Silas took the glass. “Thanks?” Arden sat across from him. Too close. His eyes searched Silas’s face, reading lines like runes. “I know spies. I’ve hunted them. You’re better than most.” Arden said .

But her eyes, am I imagining things, they look like rocks, Sapphire rocks. I’m so stunned by her beauty that I see all eyes on her after I look around. Suddenly it hit me, that electric pull flowing into my body, “Mate,” I whispered. Amilia POV As Caspian and I stand on the stairways, I see that all eyes are on us. I looked around, ignoring everyone, and I saw the place is full of white Rose bouquets, my favorite flower. As I continue looking around, something catches my eye. Standing in the back corner, a pair of red eyes are looking straight at me. “Is he checking me out?” I said aloud, earning a questionable look from Caspian, forgetting that Caspian is next to me.

Sarah whispered to Abby. “She’s right.” Wyatt said motoning for Millie to hurry. “In the bag there is a splint or the hand. Fetch for me.” Wyatt said to her. “Cross River is blue, Black sands are ironically Green, and the Moonlight pack is white.” Matt said going over all the colors. “I have only seen Amber once.” Logan said, piecing stuff together. Wyatt slipped the hand splint onto Sarah’s fingers and hand, securing it into place before looking at Matt confused. There was no pack with Amber glowing eyes.

But she never mentioned the little girl. She was a wise woman. I wished that Granny was still here. My eyes watered at the thought of Granny, she was a very sweet lady that was always ready to help everyone. I played with the pendant on the necklace that was of granny. I have always loved Granny's necklace for the pendant on it. It was an amber gemstone, but not everyone knows that amber is not a gemstone but a hardened sap of ancient trees that has been fossilized over millennia. Granny believed that the amber stone had healing powers, could clear the mind and even serve as a protection against evil. The pendant had a droplet form with a beautiful thin elaborate silver band surrounding it.
