This time, it’s an elf prince. My Aunt Kaylani says it's not an arena. Call it what you want - an Arena, a Colosseum, or a claiming ground. It's all the same to me. It's a place where idiot assholes like this guy in front of me come to try and enslave me to their will.

"We are not going on about this again, Ara. We've been planning this for a long time and I will not have you back-out on me now." Ara bit her lip, as to show her doubt. "Erikka, I'm scared. I don't belong in this type of place," she said, gesturing to the glowing club name right above the entrance of a well-known nightclub from where they were standing. Bouncers were posted to watch the laughing group of teenagers next to them. "No buts!" Erikka had already pulled her inside before she could even mutter even one word of refusal.

"The beast battle is one of Ark Two's biggest attractions. They hold it once a year. A hundred contestants are thrown into the arena with ten zombies. Whoever survives to the end wins. "The rest of us get to place bets on dark horses. If you pick the winner, you take the entire prize pool that everyone else bet." As he finished speaking, the arena came into view. It looked eerily similar to an ancient colosseum. Hayley's eyes widened as she saw rows of people standing in formation below, with iron chains locked around their necks and ankles.

The Moonrise pack arena wasn’t just a place for training—it was the beating heart of the pack. Carved into the natural hollow between towering oaks, its dirt floor was worn and compacted by countless footfalls, sweat, and bloodshed. The rough-hewn timber fences rose high around the perimeter, forming an unyielding circle. The benches, scarred by years of eager spectators, climbed the gentle slope of the surrounding hillside. Today, with the sharp scent of the coming snow in the air, it felt less like an arena and more like a coliseum, ready for a spectacle—a judgment.

On the day of the battle, scheduled four days after Manuel's positive answer, a big crowd stood excited on the stages of the largest arena in the academy. It was a circular building on the left side of the river, with an empty space fifty meters wide encircled by hundreds of overhead seats. 'It resembles the Colosseum.' Sara thought, lazily standing at the center of the arena surrounded by the crowd of students. 'There are some inscriptions on the ground and even on the walls below the stages, it seems that I won't have to worry about breaking it.' She was waiting for her opponent to appear, turning a deaf ear to the screams of the crowd above her.

The arena is like timberland, with dusty black sand covering every inch of the ground. It is completely open to the elements and the blue sky up above me. No wonder I could feel the sun burning through my skin. The crowds stretched up in the bleachers as far as my eyes could see. I can see the look of dissatisfaction on their faces when they notice that none of us is going to fight each other.

Grace, crying, braided my hair into small, tight rolls down my head and anchored them into a low bun, so that my hair couldn’t be grabbed. The arena was a space where tours were given, since it had been over a hundred and fifty years since the last challenge was issued. The arena was a gladiator-style arena adapted from the humans. Two concrete posts jetted high from the ground on each side, where wolves, animals, or people could be chained if needed.

We emerged on the other side of a cluster of homes and came upon a large fenced-in area overlooking a cliff. As we got closer, I realized that it was a large, circular stone arena. It had rough edges and was surrounded by wooden stands where it looked like people could gather and watch whatever went on inside. She opened up the gate leading inside the arena. There was training equipment throughout the area like rope, wooden barrels, and target dummies. “Avery, this place looks more for warriors than for healers.” Avery winked. “Bingo! Today, we’re going to train in the ways of combat! Come on in, we’ll have fun!”

“I still think this is a bad idea,” Uncle Drake said for the third time. “Can’t you just trust your daughter?” Aunt Athena complains. Even though DK and I agreed with Anya because we wanted to support her. We can’t deny the fact that we are still scared that something bad might happen to her just like the last time. This is why the tournament was held in a different Arena that Anya personally requested. As the three of us agreed to disagree, we finally found a way to compromise which included my Mom and Uncle Jericho’s presence. The wards inside the arena were created to not have any rogue wolves in unless it was tampered with from the inside.
