The CEO's Contractual Wife

The CEO's Contractual Wife

"Those records stay locked away unless someone gives me a reason to look. I'm not interested in random people's offshore accounts." "Just your enemies." "Just the people who threaten what's important to me." His foot found mine under the table. "That's how this works. You protect what matters." I understood the implication. He was protecting his position at Carter Enterprises. Protecting Carter Enterprises. Protecting his future. Protecting us, in whatever weird way this arrangement had evolved into. "So you're basically building an arsenal without firing a shot," I said. "Deterrence is more effective than actual warfare." He refilled my wine glass. "Sun Tzu said the supreme art of war is to

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.

So sorry to hear the author is recovering from illness. Hope he will continue this story when he is able. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Praying for a speedy recovery for him!

Mate by Fate, Bound by Love

Mate by Fate, Bound by Love

I wore a mask and entered the library, I looked around and saw that no one recognized me, heaving a sigh of relief, I went into the war section and brought out a book that says "Introduction to strategy and strategy thinking" The title sounded compelling as I opened the book and began to read "A general plan to attain one or more long-term or overall goals under unknown circumstances is called a strategy. The term "art of the general" first appeared in Eastern Roman terminology in the sixth century C.E. and was only translated into Western vernacular languages in the eighteenth century. It encompassed several subsets of talents such as military tactics, siegecraft, logistics, military strate

DUBAI THE CITY OF DREAMS

DUBAI THE CITY OF DREAMS

'"Defense is the planning of an attack" Abdullah nodded a slight smile on his lips. 'The Art of War by Sun Tzu,' he said. 'Impressive.' She simply stared at him, chin jutted out, and he quoted back at her, '"He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot will be victorious".' 'Exactly.' He laughed softly, shaking his head. 'So you think you can win in this situation, Your Highness, despite all I've said?' '"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting".'

The Don's Daughter

The Don's Daughter

VITTORIA’S POV Three days before the wedding, I was sitting in the library. Not hiding. Not lurking. Sitting, comfortably, curled into one of the leather lounge chairs with a book resting open in my hands. The Art of War. Sun Tzu had lived and died long before men like Nikolai De Luca ever learned to call themselves kings, but strategy never aged. Power never changed. Only the pieces on the board did. I liked ancient warfare texts. They were honest. They didn’t pretend victory came from morality or mercy. They understood what most people refused to admit, wars were won before the first blow was struck.

Mark by Destiny.

Mark by Destiny.

“Deception on deception.” Theodore let his eyes roam across the pack, catching individual faces — young Alen who still paled at blood, old hearts who’d once been conscripted as hunters, women whose hands had known midwifery more than battle. “You will each have a role,” he told them. “We are not a horde but a web. A whisper in one place can topple a crown in another. This is the new craft of war.” He dismissed them then — not with anger but with the satisfaction of a set scheme. “Move in silence,” he said. “Make yourselves necessary in the places where they least expect it. Remember — we are not savages but artists. Our art is war disguised as life.”

Retribution

Retribution

I didn't know whether it was because the doctors at Vladislav’s mansion refused to let me eat anything other than bland veggies and boiled chicken while I was healing. “Psychopath,” I muttered, chewing. When I was done, I rinsed the bowl and placed it back into the fridge, just to spite him, and wandered toward his bedroom. The place looked like an advertisement for minimalism— white sheets, chrome accents, everything sterile and symmetrical. I launched right unto the bed, boots staining the white sheets instantly. A perfectionists nightmare. Then I found a book on his nightstand: The Art of War. I laughed, a soft, humorless sound.

Then he said, "I need to think about something." I waited again. "The continuation says the blood that surfaces will carry a particular kind of seeing," he said. "The ability to look at a structure and know where it is wrong. It says this is built by those who lived inside the structure as the people it was designed to diminish." He looked at me. "That is not a poetic description. That is precise. That is exactly what I have been doing in this war room." The room was very still. "The patrol gaps," I said.

The Enigmatic Warrior

The Enigmatic Warrior

:-D According to the previous chapter. The shades of joy I mentioned. White means we take joy in good things e.g. in love, in kindness, etc. For some black deeds act as fuel of joy. They take pleasure in doing bad to someone and same was the case with Minahil. She was relating her pleasure to Abraham losing the game. And for most the fuel to Joy is grey. Grey is a border line between white and black. A person faces different situations. Sometimes we take pleasure after revenge and sometimes we take pleasure in forgiveness. (;

The Billionaire's Captive.

The Billionaire's Captive.

Returning back to our conversation, I raise an eyebrow “How do you mean?” Flipping through the pages until she gets to the one she needs, she points to a passage and turns the book to me. “Well, here, where he talks about deception as a key tactic. It seems rather manipulative.” My eyes focus on her clean, slender fingers instead of the passage of the book she's showing me and when she drops her hand down, I know I completely missed the point. It's not like she noticed where my eyes were trained, anyway. “In war, deception can be a powerful tool. It's not about manipulation, but rather about gaining an advantage over your opponent.”
