Her actions looked incredibly natural. After witnessing the entire thing, I said emotionlessly, "It's okay—it looks like she needs you more than I do. I'll just head home on my own." Before he could say anything else, I walked over to the table and bid everyone goodbye before leaving the restaurant. Zeke wanted to go after me, but Scarlett was clinging onto him to stop him from leaving. Considering my safety, I hailed a taxi by the side of the road and headed home. Since I had a few drinks earlier, my mind felt fuzzy. I sat in the backseat of the taxi and glanced at the view outside. All of a sudden, the scenery outside began to blur.
