Jackie’s POV Fear was back. I could feel the fear just as I could feel the weight of the gun against my cheek as he began to count from number one. I looked away from Lucas to the side to try to stare at the monster. He had a nasty smile on his face, a maniacal one that reminded me of Maddy’s. It was crazy how there were psychopaths moving with us. Why couldn’t my love life have jealous exes who did not murder and crazy family members who didn’t just like their child’s partner?

“Dude, you actually did it. She’s completely in love with you. The way she looks at you now? Santorini is going to be legendary.” My steps faltered. Tyler’s voice followed. “Bet she gave it up too, huh? The scholarship girl falling hard for the bad boy. Classic.” My stomach twisted violently. I pressed myself against the wet glass wall, hidden by the vines. Then Aiden’s voice, angry. “Shut up about the bet. It’s not like that anymore. I’m done with it. I’m in love with her. I’m calling it off.” But I didn’t stay to hear the rest.

Moments passed and even more silence. That was until Reid burst out laughing. Everyone at the table had their eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “That’s it?” He asked as he spluttered through another round of laughter. “That’s the worst plan I’ve ever heard.” “It’s better than seducing a nineteen year old girl!” Maya hissed, she was beyond fuming. Not only did Reid embarrass her by laughing but he was being a dick about it. “I’m the only person who can get close enough to him to kill him without him suspecting a thing!”

Gemma shook her head and nodded, "I'm a little sleepy after eating and I want to sleep." James giggled. "That's because it's too late. You're going to bed, not because the apple is poisonous." Gemma beeped her mouth and gnawed a few apples hard, "I don't want to starve to death. I want to eat more to defeat the big bad guy." "Bad guy?" James was puzzled. Gemma pointed to Liam, "He is the big bad guy." "......." Both Liam and James were speechless. James quickly pointed to himself and asked Gemma, "What about me? Am I a bad guy?"
