Batton grit his teeth and lifted his hand to unclip her bra then cut the straps and pulled it away from her, throwing it on the vanity. He turned and walked out of the bathroom. “Door stays open.”

EMMA'S POV I couldn’t stop thinking about the metal bat I saw in Angel’s room. The image of it kept playing in my head like a broken record, refusing to leave me alone. With a loud cry for pain, they both dropped their knives and quickly retreated their hands back and held it in hopes that the pain would stop. That the seerig heat would disappear. Emitting a growl from their gritted teeth, they looked at the agent who was still wearing a smirk on her face as she flicked her batons once again.

Borkana saw the opportunity and pulled out the large sword that was inserted into the ground and came towards me. Once I retracted my hand and the barrier disappeared, the bat would immediately gnaw me to the bone. Watching him get closer and closer to me, I could only pray in my heart for a miracle. The great sword came down toward my head, and I couldn't dodge it. The next second, another great sword pierced through Borkana's body, knocking the sword out of his hand.
