I sucked in a breath when I beheld the shiniest dangerous treasures before me. Discarding my jacket, I rolled up my sleeves and twisted my neck to loosen the kink. I glanced at Romano, he was watching me with a malicious smirk because he knew what I was about to. Only he brought out this monstrous side of me. I ditched the blades and went for a bat hanging at a corner, and returned my glare to the captive. before I sauntered towards him, swinging the bat carelessly. His face paled when I came under the light.

~ SIENNA ~ Finally at the pedestrian gate, Gavin pressed a button on the post. Before the gate could fully slide open, the man barged in, nearly tripping from the force with which he had been shoving it. The first thing that struck me was that he was here for a fight. Not just because he was panting like someone who just got out of one, but because he had a large metal baseball bat in his grip. The second was his fashion style. It was… unique. He looked like all the major designer brands were holding an impromptu meeting on his body.

“Hope I’m not interrupting.” Out of defiance, Cato finished the kiss before he slowly pulled away. “You would have to be important to be an interruption. And you aren’t important.” Bates was in a black suit, dangerous and handsome like his brother. He had the same eyes and the same coldness—but he was definitely more arctic. His hands were in his pockets, and he glanced at me with obvious dislike. “I have Mr. Wong on a conference call. Thought you’d want to say a few words.”

Braxton shouts and I miss the claws of a bat by a millisecond. We all fall into formation at once. The bat that flew over my head materializes to a vampire and he stands back laughing. I can’t make out who he is through the rain and fog, but I can see he’s not alone. What is that next to him? The figure steps forward, though what I see doesn’t make anything clearer. Out of the cloudy sheath comes the body of a dear, but the head of a goat, with the wings of a bat. The gross disfiguration has us all distracted for a second and it’s a fatal mistake.

She whined in frustration and rage. I grabbed one flying bat and squeezed the life out of it. A shrill noise pierced my ears, and the bats coalesced together in one misshapen form. White hands seized my wrist, and the bat flew into the eye socket of the Greater Vampire. The bat melted and turned into a scarlet eye.

Rebecca Rebecca pulled up to the large electronic gate, the apartments looming above her. It wouldn’t be long before she’d be in her new house, the builders hopefully sending out the new contractor on Saturday to do a final walk-through of the structure and talk about the design for the pool. If nothing else in her life was working out, at least her house was almost done and her business was booming.

Gwenevere lamented. The volume of the music was brought down as the white man got down from the vehicle. Mr. Patrick did not have a smile on his face. He was here for battle. His patience was over, he was here to take things the hard way. Unfortunately, and inopportunely, Gwenevere could see him walking towards their table. As soon as he got to them, he began “Where’s your rent, Mrs. Malton? Tell me you have it already.” he stated looking down at Hannah on the chair which she sat on.

Lacy's POV "Slowly turn around and as I remove my hand, don't make any noise." The voice says, and I nod my head in response. I slowly turn around and keep my mouth shut, but the bat is firmly held in my hand. I don't think he can see it; if not, that would be the first thing that he'd collect from me. Immediately, I turn, and he takes his hands off me. I raise the bat and slam it into the side.

“What... what are you trying to do?” Evan’s gaze was icy. He lifted his hand slightly, and Patrick immediately understood. He took a baseball bat from one of the bodyguards. The moment Frank saw the bat, thick as a man’s arm, every bone in his body seemed to tighten. “Don’t... don’t do anything stupid!” If a bat that thick landed on him, he might really be beaten to death here tonight.

Sir Celestine uttered to the still silence before swinging the sword down on the witch-queen’s head. * * * * * Sir Jin Sanscroft barely missed the sound of what seemed be like thousands of bats twittering loudly about when a literal horde of bats slammed full-force against him as he turned a corner at the next second, forcing him down sharply on the floor just as a body was thrown right at him.
