The Beast's Prey — A Rejected Runt's Fate Novels & Stories

I knew I did. I was drunk, and I slept with a stranger who happened to be King Gabriel LaBête, the Beast King, the man who women feared and wanted all at once. It was a mistake, that was all, so why did my chest feel like it was on fire? Tears ran down my face. I'd deliberated it for so long, and I told myself if ever the conversation of that night was to come up, I'd know what to say. And sitting there with him, saying those words hurt me more than it should have. But why? It wasn't like I had feelings for him. I've only been in the palace for fourteen days, and I don't even know him. Why then was I crying?

Crates of eggs were overturned, and food spilt across the ground. Most mothers yanked their daughters by the arms; guards shouted orders, but no one followed as boots pounded in all directions. An old man whispered as he fled past, “The Beast is hungry again.” “The Dreadborns are here!” Kaerith’s stomach clenched.

"Come on, Joey. Zayla's just curious about the animals. She's pregnant, so be more patient with her. Besides, most of the animals are gentle. It's not like she'll go near the dangerous ones." Even though I had refused, he secretly took the keys and gave them to her. What he didn't know was that this betrayal had cost me everything. The starving bears, having devoured my severed hand, charged after me. I had no choice but to scramble up the iron netting and scream for help. But Zayla hadn't gone far. She stood nearby, laughing, and threw rocks at me as if I were a monkey. Stone after stone struck my body. "Die, you filthy woman! Your son would never claim a wretch like you as his mother!"

Some of them stopped moving from the animal instinct that could not be trained out entirely regardless of how many years it was disciplined. The relay rogue stood in the inner entrance with its wrong-shaped. The shift Darius described was larger than the wolf. Its wrong-colored eyes swept the yard and found me. The mouth opened and a voice came. "Surrender the heir, surrender the heir and the twins and I end this tonight." it said. The yard went completely silent from both sides. The Obsidian wolves and the Ashmoor wolves in the same yard and all completely still

THE BEAST Its big disgusting foot moved through the wild as it sought to take a creature into its worm-infested mouth. It was as thorough as ever owing to the many things that had come out of it loins. The animals and insects fled as he came around because it was a gruesome sight to behold. There was no-one who could have been there to understand what all these meant. It was an inexcusable thing, disgusting to say the least. His hands like big bloated wounds brushed the trees as he was in search of just one person: James.

CHAPTER-4 “FELIX POV” As the men in black got closer and closer, I prepared myself to fight. I was shocked when one of the men in black held my hand I immediately kicked it in his manhood and it almost screamed while holding it there! deserve! “Don't come near me if you don't want to be like the man with you "I threatened them but they didn't seem to be moved by what I said! They still continue approaching me until I punched a man in the face when he held me on my shoulder!

That’s when it goes black! I wake up with the strongest headache in the world. Did I drink last night? The brightness of the sun glared in my eyes. As soon as my eyes adjusted, I could see that I was in the forest, but it was different! The forest around me was leveled! There were scorch marks in the ground that looked like big footprints! The footprints looked inhuman. I looked at my hands and saw blood, but it wasn’t my blood! “What the hell?” I asked myself before I spotted Binx, he looked terrified! “Binx… what the hell…” I began to ask but then he let out a hiss, his fur fluffed up. “What the fuck?”

B’s wise words were like an eerie echo. I waited for the red mist to clear from my vision, my chest heaving with deep, ragged pants. That’s when I could taste it rolling down my esophagus, the thick, coppery taste of blood. My eyes bulged, and I staggered back a step, feeling my feet slide on the wet floor. Mad Dog lay at my feet, a hand clamped down over the gaping hole where his throat used to be. Camera flashes blinded me from every angle. The background sounds blended together to form a high-pitched frequency. It happened before I had even realized what was happening. Punches had been raining down from both sides. The violence escalated to a partial shift, and that’s when the beast unlea

"I'll do it." "Prepare for your life to change, and if you get lucky and make me proud, you may never have to scrub another floor again." __ The room smelled of cigar smoke, mingled with the rich, aromatic perfume oozing from the incense burners. The candles cast a dim, hazy glow, their light struggling against the thick fog that filled the room. Amias could barely make out the figure they called the Beast. "Send them all away. I'm not interested in any company." His voice was deep and gravelly, the words carrying a sharp note of dismissal.
