A low, wordless growl rumbled in the back of my mind, faint and distant, a primal warning that sent a shiver down my spine.
I couldn’t place it — it wasn’t my own fear, but something else, something ancient and wild, screaming at me to run.
The Blue Moon Beast was the apex predator of the Black Forest — ten times more savage than a hellhound. Any creature that entered its territory, werewolf or otherwise, didn't leave alive.
"I want to take one home — Damien, isn't it pretty?"
Wendy raised her bow and nocked an arrow.
