THE CURSE OF THE FIFTH MATE

THE CURSE OF THE FIFTH MATE

Every soul who had tried and failed. Or succeeded. At the edge of the molten bridge ahead stood the altar. There it was. The Stone Blade. It hovered above a black pedestal, suspended by nothing but its own weight of meaning. It glowed not with light, but with silence—perfect stillness in a world of fire. It had no hilt, only stone molded for her palm, and a jagged edge that looked as if it had been pulled from the core of the moon itself. The voice of the Guardian boomed once more across the chamber: "To wield the blade, you must be willing to lose all you love."

fate betrayal

fate betrayal

The whispers grew louder, but I pushed back, channeling the same defiance that had broken the mate bond. --- The blade began to crack, its dark energy spiraling out of control. Veyron screamed in rage, throwing Darius off and turning toward me. “You’ll destroy us all!” he bellowed, his voice filled with desperation. “Maybe,” I replied, my hands trembling as I poured my will into the blade. “But at least it’ll be on my terms.” The chamber shook violently, and the blade shattered in an explosion of light and darkness. When the light faded, I found myself on my knees, the world spinning around me. Veyron was nowhere to be seen, his presence seemingly erased.

Broken by One, Desired by All

Broken by One, Desired by All

"I thought you were going to tell me more about your little project! Come on, keep talking!" "I am going to peel the skin from your face for that." His voice dropped into a dangerous, vibrating register that made the air itself seem to tremble. He swiped his left hand through the air, and three sharp, purple psychic blades materialized, launching straight at my chest with deadly precision.

Shirley Sarchett
I usually don’t do reviews however I feel like this book may get overlooked. I didn’t know how I would feel reading this book at first but the author has a fantastic way of writing which is easy to read and picture. I think the romantic relationships in this book is more tasteful than I expected!

REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA

REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA

A soft chuckle sounded beside me, and I didn’t even need to look to the side to know that it was coming from Blade. "Stop smiling like that," he whispered, “You know the whole world is watching, right?” I ignored him, I couldn’t even make out his words. "I've seen you prepare for war, and you looked less intense," he continued with a sigh, while turning to the elders for some help. But no one answered Blade. In fact, some of the elders actually chuckled, I heard all of them, but only barely. Because the closer Nyssa got to me, the more the world faded away.

The Loyal Spartan

The Loyal Spartan

He drove the gold blade forward, a clean, efficient thrust that ended the man’s life, his body a crumpled, broken heap on the cavern floor. The loyalists froze, their eyes a wide, panicked sea of terror. They had heard the stories, the legends, the whispers of a weapon that could cut through anything, a blade that was the bane of gods and men alike. But they didn’t believe it. They hadn’t understood. Now, they did.

Wolf and Blades: Moonbound Blood

Wolf and Blades: Moonbound Blood

N Y X A R A The wolf moves closer. At a pace that doesn’t ask permission. Just forward, like the distance between us was always meant to close and I’m only now catching up to that fact. I pull a blade free. Late. My fingers fumble the wrap for half a second before muscle memory snaps it into place. The sound feels too loud. Metal whispering in a forest that has gone quiet again.

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

"You didn't just love me, Jinyan. You used me to stay alive. Every time we touched, every time I felt that rush of connection... I wasn't just giving you my heart. I was giving you my life." He let out a jagged, wet breath. "I wanted to tell you... I tried to find another way. But the Father... he designed me to need you. I am Blade, Panni. And a blade has no light of its own. It only reflects what is poured into it." I felt the resonance in my blood begin to scream. It was a physical pressure behind my eyes, a heat in my palms that felt like molten lead. I was the Battery. My very existence was a power source, a reservoir of light that the Firm had spent fifteen years perfecting.

Lycan Brothers Want Me

Lycan Brothers Want Me

he muttered, not daring to share his attention with the cloud separated from us through the windshield. "We have to do something that would destroy it forever," I muttered and Liam groaned in anger. "You are distracting me!" He snapped. I reached into my purse and pulled out the blade again, holding it tightly. Liam finally looked at me, his brows raised in surprise. "That blade…" "It kills demons," I said and he smiled in relief. I unsheathed the blade, waiting for it to sneak in. The drums began to play again, faster and stronger. The louder the drums got, the light-headed we became.

Wow, this book is intense! It's so sad how Valerie's life changes after her father dies and her mom remarries. Being sold by her stepfather? That's just awful. I'm so invested in seeing what happens next. This is a page turner so far and you set up the suspense really well. I can't put this down.

The Bad Girl Wears Pink

The Bad Girl Wears Pink

The books clattered to the ground loudly and before he had the chance to react I'd knicked his key from his hoodie pocket. "Why don't you watch where you're going?" I hiss. Blade smirked. "Ah Tink, I believe you were the one who should watch where you're going," he says in a sexy voice. I scoffed and fell to a stoop and shuffled the books back into a pile and stood once again to face Blade. His glinting green eyes pierced into mine and the amused expression on his face made me want to slap him. "Don't flatter yourself Blade," I scold, "you're so densely stupid I couldn't tell you separately from the wall."
