Broken Blade Book Novels & Stories

He didn't even raise an arm to block my attack. The blade hit his shoulder. Crack. Time slammed back into normal speed. My sword didn't cut him. It didn't even sink in. It shattered. Pieces of expensive, forged steel exploded into the air, raining down into the bloody snow like broken glass. I staggered backward, my boots sliding in the mud. I was visibly shaking. Shock hit me like a physical punch to the gut. I looked at the jagged, broken hilt left in my hand, then back at Riven.

The impact sent him crashing to the ground of the cage. The crowd cheered crazily, screams erupted all around me. "BLADE!" "BLADE!" "BLADE!" I pulled out my custom-made blade gleamed with a savage hunger under the bright arena lights. The polished steel bore the name "Capone," etched into the metal like a proclamation of death. Its edge was as sharp as a serpent's fang. It looked eager to cut, having tasted the blood of many before. The handle, wrapped in black leather, felt like a coiled snake in my grip, ready to strike with deadly accuracy. This blade wasn't just a weapon; it was a merciless instrument of brutality, a symbol of my unrelenting power in this world.

The Blackrock pack, leaderless and disoriented, crumbled. Damian was too drunk to command, leaving the army directionless. The Bloodfang pack's forces swept through like a tide, crushing everything in their path. The once-mighty Blackrock pack fell back step by step, teetering on the edge of annihilation. Panic and despair spread like wildfire. The council of elders was powerless, thrown into chaos the likes of which they had never known. Finally, they came to my door. Those same elders who had once sneered at me now kneeled before me, heads bowed, voices trembling with desperate pleas.

All her belongings were gone as if she had never existed. "No…" Out of nowhere, Kaden felt a pain shoot up from the depths of his soul. His wolf roared and thrashed in an attempt to break free from his body. It was clear evidence that the mate bond had been broken by force. "Argh!" Kaden howled in devastation, the sound waves shattering the bedroom windows. It dawned on him that Seraphina was not joking. She had left him, never to be found again. Falling on all fours, Kaden struggled to crawl to the dressing table. There, a black obsidian jewelry box remained. It was the gift Seraphina left for him a week ago.

My Alpha slept with another woman. He promised me, "It was an accident." "I was drugged," he said. "I didn't even know what I was doing. Besides, I've already used my family's influence to bury it. No one will ever know." But three months later, I found him in the hospital with her—the pregnant Omega. This time, what Sebastian said to me was as cold and final as a death sentence: "Sophia, you're a smart woman. You understand the importance of a bloodline. This child will be the strongest Alpha heir our pack has seen in decades." That was it. My heart shattered. I turned and walked away. But they had no idea what they had just unleashed.

But Lucas, as if consumed by rage, grabbed her hair and slammed her onto the glass coffee table. The sharp sound of shattering glass, accompanied by Lilith’s scream, echoed through the room. Shards of glass flew everywhere, cutting into Lilith’s face. Blood gushed out, staining her clothes red. Her brother rushed forward to save her, only to be met with a brutal punch to the temple from Lucas. He groaned, fell to the ground, twitched a few times, and then laid still. That punch took his life instantly. Lucas stood in the wreckage of the living room, letting out low, chilling growls.

Axen looked at me without a speck of emotion on his face and said. "I accept. Our bond is broken with the blessing of the Goddess.' Axen tried and failed to hold back another howl. In the end he let loose a loud heart breaking cry that felt like a dagger to my heart, then fell back hitting the hard Chapel floor with a thud.

My cloud was broken when a strong, smooth voice commanded, "Stop!" My eyes flit open and my heart stutters. My God, did I mess up? London stares at the both of us, an unreadable expression on his face. I messed up, didn't I? "What's the matter?" Jackie sasses, a brow raised in his direction. "I don't need to hear anymore," he replied with a shrug, "You both made the cut." "That means?" I ask unsurely, narrowing my eyes. It means you're both in," he answered with a small smile, "Welcome to Crash Course Rebellion."

Honey continued. When the woman didn’t move, Honey grabbed her by the hair and dragged her out of bed. The blanket covering her fell to the floor, and Jada was relieved when she saw that she was still wearing her bra and pants. “What the fuck is wrong with you?” She screamed as she struggled to stand up. “How dare you hurt me?” Honey slapped her again. She was trying to help the girl get her senses back. The girl with blonde hair touched her face and screamed when she saw bloodstain on her finger.

His gaze panned the far wall and he almost laughed out loud when he spotted the sword. Three years ago Vertigo comics had done an adaption of his zombie novel, Dead on the Inside, and as part of the promotion, Brad had attended Dragoncon in Atlanta, Georgia. He’d received many gifts while there—graphic novels, posters, T-shirts, trading cards, and from one publisher of Manga a katana sword with sheath and wall mount. He’d hung it up, thinking of it as a mere decoration and nothing more, but now felt silly that it hadn’t immediately sprung to mind when in need of a weapon. He crossed the room, snatched the sword from the mount, and removed it from its sheath.
