It didn't struggle to take the old eye off. It laid there calmly for about twenty minutes. After a big light appeared. It brightened the place heavily and I saw a small booklet hanged on a pillar in front of me. The Dragon began to lick the blood on the eye until it became clear. It moved slowly away from it. I couldn’t wait for its tail to be disappeared I flashed like lightning took the eye and proceeded to take the booklet which was hanging on the pillar within a flash of a second and immediately flew through the gate with the speed of light and landed at the back of my friend wonder.

The next moment, all of a sudden, her eyes, her face, her whole body, including her soul were caught by a flash of white light.

If I was panicking before, I sure was going to have a heart attack if I was put under any more pressure. It all happened in slow motion. One moment, his face was leaning towards mine and the next, it was gone, tilted to the side. I blinked. He shifted to the side, pressing forward. It took me a while to realize that he just plucked the book from the shelf. I blinked again. Once. Twice. Three times. He caught my eye and I found some lost confidence to stare back. There was something peculiar about his eyes that I couldn't place a finger on. Emotionless deep deep stormy skies. Then, he smirked.

Elora’s POV I woke up to the pungent smell of what seemed to be a herbal medicine invading my nostrils. The room was silent apart from my heavy breathing. I slowly got up and lifted my eyelids. I squinted in an attempt to sharpen the blurry image surrounding me. However, a sharp pain stung my eyeballs as soon as the light hit them. It felt as if my whole eyeballs were dried up. It gave me some discomfort making me blink a couple of times in an attempt to wet it with my tears. Unfortunately, it didn’t help so I ended up rubbing them. That was when I noticed that no matter what I do, my vision didn’t seem to enhance at all.

They formed into different shapes of symbols or drawings she had never seen before. She closed her eyes again and thought it was just stress. She inhaled and exhaled deeply. Then, she opened her eyes again. This time, the numbers and letters were not dancing and forming into symbols and some weird shapes. They were just static like normal text in the book. She then breathed out lightly with relief.
