Lake Creek

Lake Creek

'it wasn't. Eleanor sat down and pulled out the book she'd gotten from Gabby. What better way to divert her racing mind? She flipped pages randomly till she came across a page, which wasn't a page. It was cut into, with a smaller book hidden within that took up the rest of the page space underneath. She carefully pulled it out. It was an old brown leather cover with brownish pages. A pretty old book. She gently set down Bigfoot and opened the book, instantly getting sucked in.

Slightly Lazy, Evil, Carefree Cultivator (Book 1)

The second piece was just the same as the first, but adding more detail and background after they viewed their mistakes in the first. "Taking both of these." Ren rolled them up. "I take it as an illustration of your old home?" Two gave him a sad nod. "Hmm, ok. Come along now." Ren pulled the book to him and started to read as they walked. They made it out of the courtyard when Zero and Three ran up. "Can we come as well, Master?" Zero asked. Three just looked on excitied.

she handed the book back to me as if to rid herself of it. "It's stupid. Everyone has a different journey on this Earth so the advice that's listed it's useless," I found myself trying to put the book back on the shelf but I still couldn't reach. "Ren honey, put the book on there," there was this silver rectangular prism that stood right below my waist. I placed the book on its surface and it immediately vanished from the platform.

ETERNAL ANGEL AND HER LAST REQUEST

ETERNAL ANGEL AND HER LAST REQUEST

“Dear Maria, I finally found this book in a bookstore near campus. Hope you like it. I'll send the next series after I find it. Greetings, Jackson. " A sigh escaped Beverly's throat. For some reason, the thought of Jackson's closeness to Maria made his heart ache. Beverly snorted softly. Apparently, Jackson loved Maria very much. Beverly caught Maria's name there. Yes, the first chapter does describe who Maria really is. Is that why Jackson bought this book for Maria? Because Maria's name is clearly printed in this book? Again, Beverly's mind was filled with questions about Maria and Jackson. And he was getting annoyed with himself.

Center Land (Book 3 of Kendra's Journey)

Center Land (Book 3 of Kendra's Journey)

“I say we run.” The beast was almost upon them when the two giant sized women abandoned their prize and ran as fast and as far away as their powerful thighs would carry them. Still bound to the travois, Ari could do nothing as a giant sized wild pig emerged from the exceptionally large shrubbery. Was everything in center earth enormous? Just like, when she was standing near many of the plants, she felt like she was next to a tree from the surface, she was sure that, had she been standing next to the beast, she would have had a difficult time seeing over the top of its back.

Book 1: Luna Returns

Book 1: Luna Returns

It's like the beast was surprised as well because it stopped for a minute, giving Karen the chance to pounce on it and ruffle its skin apart. A painful roar rose as the two beasts struggled with each other on the ground. None of them was about to give. The only way one of them could give up was by being dead. It seemed like Karen was weak since the beast had taken over her. Her flesh was ripped apart, and they could hear the beast grunting and sipping her blood. It had its sharp claws pinning her down and its teeth burried in her neck.

THE VAMPIRE BROTHERS

THE VAMPIRE BROTHERS

He wanted to reach his dreams no matter what life brought his way. “We are supernatural. I read about other creatures, dummies.” He joked. “Ha, ha, ha.” Elijah laughed. “Please, can we concentrate? I hate doing this.” Beckham affirmed. “Sure. I will take that,” Colby took the thick book with a black leather cover and a gold star drawn in front of it. “It doesn't have an author.” He recognized it when he grasped the book. “Are we into vampire or witch hunting?” Beckham grumbled.

A truly intriguing story, told with care. Each chapter leaves me wanting to read more and there's so much to love about each character. I have to say I'm team Colby, Aiden and Darius though. A fantastic world too.

Beneath the Diamond Veil

Beneath the Diamond Veil

The world was recalibrating around her. Outside, dawn was breaking—thin lines of gray light slicing through clouds heavy with rain. The air smelled like wet earth and something metallic beneath it. They didn’t speak much as they walked away from the house. Words felt fragile. It wasn’t until they reached the edge of the property that Elara stopped. The ground beneath her feet hummed. Not audibly—internally. A vibration that traveled up through her bones and settled behind her eyes. “Wait,” she said. Damien turned. “What is it?”

The Captured Mafia Bride

The Captured Mafia Bride

I whisper as I flick a new page to the book I started this morning. After the very award breakfast with Achilles. I took a shower and grabbed a couple of snacks I found in the kitchen. When I got to the library, a large grey bean bag, some pillows and a table with a chair were in the room. The bean bag faces the large windows and I opened the curtains, marvelling at the sight of their garden. Too bad they didn't trust me enough yet to let me out. I sip the diet coke I had grabbed, reading through the lies the male character was feeding the girl he cheated on. “What a loser,” I sigh, swiping to the next page.
