******* HOURS LATER Audrey sat in Damien’s study and went through his books, she felt bored and couldn't fall asleep so she decided to go through his books in his study. She found out he had an interest in horror books, mostly about serial killers, she wasn't surprised though, it's obvious he can't have an interest in normal things. She suddenly heard a thud outside the hallway and she froze. “It's probably the guards.” She mumbled and continued with the book. The door suddenly opened and she flinched, she saw a man dressed in black, he wore a face cap and a mask, she couldn't see his face clearly. “Who are you?” She asked in fear and he walked towards her.

He hurried to it and pulled it open just far enough to see who was on the other side. Lila’s whisper was hard and urgent as she said, “Let us in.” He immediately obeyed by opening the door just far enough to allow her to slip in. Benjamin’s larger frame forced him to pull it just a bit further open before slamming it shut immediately after he’d entered the room. “This is Ben,” she offered as she moved to the center of the room. Jasper and Benjamin greeted each other with stern expressions and a curt nod. Without hesitation, the warlock produced a slender bottle containing white granules that Jasper thought might be salt and created a circle around himself.

Lavi pushes Anna aside, shielding her but both of them are staring wide eyed at Nine. Her short dark hair has turned white and her eyes are glowing in a violet shade. Raising her hands, she shoots another purple blast at the men, separating them from Anna and Lavi. But Nine is on the other side of the barrier, trapping herself with Damien and his men. “Go!” She exclaims. “Just go!” “Nine-” Anna yells but Lavi pulls her away. “We have to save her!” Anna demands. “She will be fine!” Lavi assures her. “She knows what to do.”

"Proposal? Did I propose? Lucy, you're still living in your own fantasy. I made it clear, didn't I? I already proposed to you nine times, so I don't owe you anything anymore. "After our ninth divorce, I never planned to remarry you. Falling for you three years ago was the biggest mistake I ever made!" Lucy could hardly believe what she was hearing. Her hands shook so violently she nearly dropped the phone. "No… Zack, you're lying, right? We said this divorce was temporary." Her voice cracked. "The game is over, and we're getting married today! You're still upset about Steven, aren't you? I'll fire him right now. I swear I'll cut all ties with him. Come back to me, okay?"

"I am returning to Zurich tomorrow." He replied quickly. "Not staying a few more days?" "No. Things here are finished." I deleted Enzo's number. I deleted Rosalina's. I deleted Alberto's. My contact list was empty. A month later, I was sitting in my office in Zurich when an email arrived from Rosalina. It was long. I did not open it. I deleted it. Another came the next day. From Alberto. I deleted that one too. The day after that, Enzo wrote.

Third-Person POV Antonio couldn't shake the feeling that something felt wrong. He hadn't dreamed of Natalina in ages, but tonight, he dreamed of the look in her eyes during their last fight. It wasn't a look of hatred or resentment. All she had done was calmly stare at him, as if she was looking at a ledger that was written off. That calmness unsettled him. He picked up his phone to call her, but two notifications caught his eye. The first was an alert from the Ragusa Famiglia's intelligence network with the headline reading, "The Corradini Famiglia is set to seal a marriage alliance with a Famiglia in Nipalino."

I looked into his eyes — those beautiful eyes — and asked one last time, "Do you still love me?" He laughed like I'd said something funny, came back over, patted my head, and answered without missing a beat. "Of course I do. Don't overthink it. I'll be back tomorrow. We'll celebrate our anniversary then — I already made a reservation." He sounded so sure of himself. I nodded. "Okay. I'll wait for you." For the first time in nine years, I lied to him. I turned and started walking back to my room. But Jason — who had been in such a hurry to leave — was still standing by the door. He hadn't moved.
