Contract With Big Brother-in-law

Contract With Big Brother-in-law

“The bookstore?” “Yeah,” I said quickly, feeling the need to justify myself for some reason. “There’s this place downtown, Cooper’s Books, that I’ve been meaning to check out. They have a great selection of used books, and I heard they just got a new shipment in, and—” I stopped myself, realizing I was rambling. “But it’s okay if you don’t want to. It’s probably boring for you.” Nicholas grinned. “Are you kidding? I love that place.”

"Wow, what a charmed life she’s living—pain, suffering, heartbreak—she’s got the full package! It’s almost like the author’s personal mission was to make sure the heroine never experiences a single moment of joy. Truly inspiring.,.. very disappointing this one is really exhausting to read

Let me first say that this author has kept me coming back to read the rest of the story. However, poor Kayla… can’t she catch a break? This is one of the better books I’ve read on here, but I’m starting to get frustrated by the 2 steps forward with Nicholas and Kayla for them to take 10 steps back.

His Book club

His Book club

A sign above the door read: ‘The Prism Society – A Book Community for All Identities.’ I blinked. “Kael…what is this place?” He looked at me then, and for a second his mouth curved into something softer than a smile. “You’ll see.” “Don't forget the purpose of our visit,” I said, my voice firm as I got out of the car. He didn't say anything, he just led me into the building. Inside, warmth wrapped around me immediately. Not just from the heating or the faint scent of coffee, but from the atmosphere.

The Billionaire's Unwanted Wife and Her Twins

The Billionaire's Unwanted Wife and Her Twins

Maybe our connection wasn’t meant to be, so no matter how we were brought together we still didn’t end up together. A few moments later, I’d found the books I wanted to buy. I placed them in my arms, then walked over to Kevin, who was sitting on the reading sofa. This bookstore has a tiny reading room with only two reading sofas separated by a small round table. A reading lamp stands beside each sofa. On the table sits a small flowerpot serving as decoration. The reading room floor is carpeted, and next to my sofa are two vending machines.

FIFTY SHADES OF FILTHY DESIRES

FIFTY SHADES OF FILTHY DESIRES

Like we’d been doing this forever. First stop: the little independent bookstore tucked behind the old theater district. Floor-to-ceiling shelves, creaky wooden ladders, the smell of old paper and coffee. Chloe lit up the second we walked in. She wandered the aisles like she was in church—fingers trailing spines, pulling books out, reading first pages with this quiet, reverent focus. I followed her, content just to watch. She found a slim volume of poetry by a woman she loved and held it up like a treasure. It was a rare piece to come by.

Daddy's Lessons in Pleasure - A Collection

Daddy's Lessons in Pleasure - A Collection

Chapter 1:(Ethan’s POV) The bookshop appeared on my street seemingly overnight, sandwiched between a dry cleaner and a closed Thai restaurant. "Sanctuary Books & Coffee" in simple gold lettering on the window, the kind of place that looked like it had always been there and you’d just never noticed. I wandered in on a Tuesday, drawn by the smell of old paper and espresso. The owner was shelving philosophy texts. He was tall, dark hair touched with silver at the temples, maybe early forties. He looked up when the bell chimed, and his smile was warm but careful, like someone who’d learned to measure his expressions.

The Book of Deceive

The Book of Deceive

"Yes. There are parts missing." "True. Recently, I found a book that might help us with that matter." "Let's find it." "A red covered book with golden inlays." "I found it." "You have a sharp eye. All the books in this section are the same." "Let's start. There is a free table." Surrounded by rays of candles, the two friends started reading the dusty, old tome. The first one started:

It is also known as BTS (Burma Translation Society) building, metaphorically known as the “Palace of Literature.” The Sarpay Beikman’s structure is impressive because of its logo: there is an open book, and in the middle of the book masonry is a pen, which radiated the rays of light from the black page to the white page. For decades, it has drawn loyal followers and patrons who visit the place regularly to buy or borrow books from its public library on the second floor. From the Weekly Gazetteer panel, one could tarry into other display panels in the bookshop, which includes sections on fiction, non-fiction, and poetry books which were relatively cheap in prices, compared with other bookshop

Living With The Player

Living With The Player

Books are removed and added, so it's kept up to date. What makes it special is the little section of books from best-sellers across the world. For the literature students, of course, I like to take advantage of that perk too. There are no library passes, but you'll have to check in with the librarian to get a book out. There's a common room with several chairs to sit and read, but since it's Tuesday and a little past noon, the place is almost empty. I count two girls and three guys when I passed. I visit the novel section. The likes of pride and prejudice, ugly love, after, and a few rom-com are enticing but I skip them all and take up a psychology text. I'll take those home and read them la

The Dawn Falls

The Dawn Falls

We tell each other almost everything. “We’re here,” Gelo said. He pointed his lips to the castle-like building, splashed with ivory-white paint. We’ve walked for hours and I haven’t seen this building before. “What is this place? I looked so medieval and aesthetic.” “A coffee shop.” “This is a coffee shop?” The coffee shop is the last thing I perceive this place as. It doesn’t look one until I saw different quotes about caffeine. “Yup,” Gelo said, pulling me inside. It wasn’t just a simple coffee shop. It’s a haven. A coffee shop and a bookstore. On the right side of the place, there were wooden chairs and stools where some people are either working, chatting, or reading books while they we

The Second Time's a Charmer

“Do you think the bookstore next to Wixon still has it?” Valencia leaned on the kitchen counter near the sink, tapping her fingers on the ceramic surface. “Yeah, trust me the last time I visited that bookstore down on 2nd street was 2 days ago. it was a recent visit so I’m sure they still have a few left in the Non-fiction section.” The voice on the phone said.
