JACOB POV I watch Rebecca stand nervously in front of a Dior branch boutique, her brows scrunched as she fiddled with a stray lock of her hair that seemed to enjoy bouncing in the wind. My hands l**k with hers before I stare at Chen and she nods before walking in, ahead of us. "Why're we standing outside here and not going in?" Becca asked me and I smile down at her. "Chen is clearing the place" "What?" She stuttered, her mouth forming into a perfect O shape that has my groin tightening. A flashed image of us in Aspen mountains makes me grunt out too. Becca, kneeling in front of me, her hair falling in waves behind her while I fuck her mouth.

She left right after that encounter. She's weird and she didn't even mind knowing me or my name at all. I'll surely remember her face if I will see her again. I am already looking forward for it. -- Rebecca's POV The house is a two-story studio type. It is situated in front of the many trees. I can say, we're a bit nearing the forest already. Our house is five minutes away from the main road which is a bit quiet. It's creepier since I am all alone in our house. It has two rooms on the upper part and there is a single room on the lower ground, near the kitchen. We have a simple sofa with fewer appliances. “I want to go home,” Rebecca whispered to April-the secretary sitting beside her. Rebecca Clovin, the beautiful manager, felt something strange happening to her body. Her heart was pounding, her whole body felt hot as if sparks were igniting inside her. Yet, at the team dinner held in a five-star hotel, she hadn’t touched a drop of alcohol. From the start, she only intended to treat her team to dinner to celebrate the success of the new product they had developed. She had only eaten steak, salad, and a glass of orange juice...

The book was about humans and the mermaid, a fictional book and hence, this might be the reason why Rebecca knew of her. She must to be that famous for her to publish all the series in a year, I love seeing ladies achieve their dreams really. It always makes me happy. I lost count of the time, totally engrossed in reading until I heard the key jingling and the door was opened. Another maid entered, with a tray and a water jug in her left hand.

Rebecca replied, her eyes scanning the pages of the book she held in her hand. Arnold’s eyes narrowed, “Mind telling me what that means?” He queried. Rebecca shut the book closed, looking unsatisfied with its contents. Taking a deep breath, she deliberately placed the book back into the shelf she was standing beside.“By not bad, I mean it's being handled,” she said. Arnold ran his hand through his silver hair, “Rebecca. How exactly?” His impatience grew.

It was far too old and much too sacred to abuse it. He flipped it to the back few pages and saw that it was the story of Queen Rebecca, and how she came to be. He read it slowly because it was a story that he thought that he knew, but apparently he did not know everything, and he found it so emotional for some reason. He thought maybe it was just the beautiful way that it had been written, but that wasn't really it.

SUMMARY The protagonist of the story is Rebecca. Rebecca is a single 32 year old woman who lives in an apartment on the lower east coast of Manhattan. This is a low class community so she is not compelled to make conversation with the locals. She works in the accounting department of a Multi-Sector Conglomerate Co-operation.

I scanned my surrounding with my mouth wide open in excitement. As I stopped in front of one of the many shelves, I pulled out a green worn out a floral patterned novel from the section labeled old-time romance. My eyes enlarged when I noticed that the book was one of the first edition of Daphne du Maurier’s ‘Rebecca’. The book was in a good condition despite the outside appearance only hinting its growing age, I opened the mint-colored hardcover to reveal the first page of the book. ‘Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again....’

And it turned out the whole deal was about telling stories through food. Which she… yeah. Cheesy or not, she loved it.
