The haunted banquet was, as expected, my favourite part. A large dining table had been set up, and the cardboard walls here had been doubled, so that people could stand in between them, clutching strings that were connected to objects on and around the table. Books, plates, chairs, cutlery, and candles would all go flying, and I imagined that, had I not been involved in the planning of the maze, the sudden movement of the objects would have impressed me, even if they’d not scared me.
