The Alpha's favorite toy

The Alpha's favorite toy

“Guys, isn’t Flora the only possible suspect here, I mean who else will want to take the book” Everyone stared at Flora intensively. “What?, can you hear yourself right now?” Flora fired back at her. “How the fuck am I going to steal a book if I’m locked up?” “Guys, I think we need to calm down and think deep” I sighed pacing around the room. “Who will like to steal the book? Who else do you think the book will benefit?” Winter folded her arms and walked closer to the cell Flora was caged. “Isn’t it obvious?” Her eyes were focused on Miss Flora.

Mathilda

Mathilda

I paused on my tracks. “You stole a lot of pillows from the quarters.” “And we turned it into a bed cushion, Agnes. They won’t notice that they are missing a few duckling feathers.” “You snatched many books from the library.” Agnes added. “Don’t worry, all of those books are forbidden. They do not care about stuff that they don’t believe in.” “They are planning on burning it all anyway...” Fatma noted as she halted for a breather too, “You should steal more.”

Let's talk about the synopsis! LOVE IT! It is so spooky and mysterious like when you're like; "I swear I didn't steal your WiFi password! Or did I? *with a menacing smile*" I'm still going to leave another review for the chapters. I just felt like this awesome synopsis deserves a review of its own.

The narration itself brings you deep into the book. There's this something I can't point to exactly, but the way the author leads it, the more I just want to get drown into the story. Not just that, but this story contradicts the 'soft girl main protagonist' ad I LOVE IT! MATHILDA FOR THE WIN!

Breaking the Alpha's curse

Breaking the Alpha's curse

“This is…” “The Book of Life,” he completed. “The one with Elder Thorne.” For a moment, everything around me faded as I stared at the book. This was the hope that everything we went through wasn't in vain. “How did you…” I tried to ask but I was too overwhelmed to complete my question. “I grabbed it before everything collapsed.” I stared at the book… at the burnt edges… at the ancient markings… at the weight of everything it carried. And for the first time since Liam disappeared, I felt hopeful and determined.

THE WRONG VOW, MY PERFECT ALPHA

THE WRONG VOW, MY PERFECT ALPHA

Half the council argued over grain prices while the other half pretended not to steal from one another and normally I would have ended the discussion in thirty minutes. Today, my thoughts kept wandering to Lena, to the old photograph folded inside the locked drawer of my desk and to the words burned into the back. The Ember Heir Lives. The shaman’s face refused to leave my mind. “Burn every record, if anyone discovers she’s alive… the kingdom won’t survive what follows.” I hadn’t asked who ‘they’ were but something told me I wouldn’t like the answer. When the meeting finally ended, Darius caught up with me outside.

One Night Stand With A Two-Faced Stripper

One Night Stand With A Two-Faced Stripper

No need to look for another lie. "A women's book club, that's what I'm going for," I said, hoping he would believe my outlandish lie. "So let me get this straight." He sat up on his chair. "A bunch of ladies leave their homes with paperback novels, then find a fancy cafe and sit around in a circle talking about fictional characters they're in love with?" he asked, and I nodded at him, thinking this was the best approach. "Pretty much, yeah. It gets worse, but you're not supposed to know about that."

Crossing The Line

Crossing The Line

The book club ladies were in fine form this afternoon. Margaret Thompson sat primly on the floral couch in a rented out space close to the library, a half-empty teacup balanced on her knee, her Bible study notes open on the coffee table. The conversation had started with the latest Christian fiction novel — something about redemption and resisting temptation — but it had drifted, as it always did, into more personal territory. Gossip dressed up as prayer requests. “Speaking of temptation,” one of the women said, lowering her voice with dramatic concern, “have you heard what’s going around about that poor Thompson boy?”

FORBIDDEN FATE: MY PROFESSORS' MATE

FORBIDDEN FATE: MY PROFESSORS' MATE

"Hey, you made it. Feeling better?" "Yeah," I said, sitting next to him. "Thanks for saving spots." "Anytime," he replied. Serena plopped down across from us. "Okay, nerds. Lit first, who read the chapter on forbidden bonds?" A few hands went up, and we dove in. Discussions flowed, quotes were thrown around, laughs when someone botched a summary. As the group wrapped up lit and switched to math, the door creaked open. A security guard poked his head in. "Quick check, anyone see anything weird around the archives last night?"

THE BILLIONAIRE'S TWISTED GAMES

THE BILLIONAIRE'S TWISTED GAMES

She placed the leather-bound book on her lap with reverence, brushing away the lingering dust with her trembling fingers. The book creaked open like it hadn’t been touched in years. Its pages were yellowed and fragile, but tucked between random paragraphs were faint markings—notes written in delicate, slanted handwriting. Leah’s heart thudded as she scanned the lines, searching for meaning. On the third chapter, Sofia’s voice came alive. “Nothing is ever truly what it seems. A beautiful prison is still a prison.” Leah’s brows furrowed. She flipped another page. More underlines, this time around a quote from the book’s protagonist:

My Alpha Mate Rejected Me: He Says I'm A Misfit

My Alpha Mate Rejected Me: He Says I'm A Misfit

I mutter them. Marlik stares at me like he wants to kill me. But he doesn't speak again. He can feel that I am not afraid, but I'm sure he doesn't have the idea that I have stepped off the path they set for me. And now I'm walking one they cannot follow. I do not stay until the end of the meeting. I turn before they dismiss me. Before Marlik finds more blame to hurl or more fire to spit. As I walk, I feel the weight of the book in my sleeve. The one they think is lost. The book that holds the real rites. The cookbook. The council made me steal it from the keeper, and I have to return it.

LUNAR ASCENDANCY: The Quiet Alpha Emerges

LUNAR ASCENDANCY: The Quiet Alpha Emerges

Our discussion seamlessly transitioned to books, and Michelle shared, "I recently read this amazing fantasy novel. It had werewolves, witches, and a forbidden love. Couldn't put it down!" Maya laughed, "Sounds like the perfect recipe for a captivating read. But you know me, I'm still stuck in the classic literature section. Pride and Prejudice will always have my heart." We explored the realms of TV shows, discussing plot twists, favorite characters, and those guilty pleasures we indulged in during moments of downtime. The room echoed with our laughter, creating a soundtrack to the stories we shared. As the night progressed, the conversation took a nostalgic turn. Michelle sighed, "Remember
