His Book club

His Book club

“Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ” He shrugged, flipping another page. “I keep telling you not to judge me with your assumptions.” “I'm sorry if my assumptions don't fit your personality,” I said, taking the seat across from him. “Why this book?” I asked, stealing the opportunity to know what the real Kael is like. “I like books that… make me think. And this one does.” “Think about what?” I asked, hoping my curiosity wasn't obvious. “Is this some sort of interview?” he asked, placing the book on the table without closing it.

Hired To Tame The Billionaire

Hired To Tame The Billionaire

“Something real. Not a memory of a party or a name of a person we both hate. Tell me something you see right now.” I looked around the room. I saw the way the firelight danced on the gold leaf of the book spines. I saw the dust motes dancing in the air like tiny, silent stars. I saw the way the shadows made him look younger, softer. “I see the fire,” I said, my voice low and melodic. “It’s dying down to embers, a soft, glowing orange. It looks like the heart of a mountain. And the books… they look like a city of paper, all standing at attention, waiting for someone to listen to them. And I see a man who is far more than the darkness he’s been handed.”

The Lost Princess of the Alpha King

The Lost Princess of the Alpha King

"No one built it. It exists because stories exist. It is the place where forgotten tales go to wait." I approached the nearest shelf and reached for a book. Its surface was warm, pulsing with a gentle light. "Hello," I whispered. The book pulsed in response. I opened the first book. A story poured into my mind, vivid and alive. It was the tale of a wolf who had loved deeply and lost completely. A wolf who had been forgotten by everyone who knew her. A wolf who had faded into the void. I wept as I read her story. "Who was she?" Kael asked.

BLOODBOUND: THE LAST MATE

BLOODBOUND: THE LAST MATE

Then she carried the book to the nearest reading table and sat down and opened it without ceremony, because if fate had written her a contract, the least she could do was read the terms. The book assumed considerable prior knowledge, in the way of very old scholarship that considered background context a reader's own problem. But Lena had been reading texts with gaps since she was twelve, filling in what was missing from context and inference, and she worked through the opening chapters with patient, accumulating attention. She arrived at the third chapter — The Convergent Case: When the Soul Holds More Than One Mark — and her reading slowed and became something considerably more personal. S

Thirty Days Before Goodbye

Thirty Days Before Goodbye

The first review I read was from a literary publication that described the book as unflinching and specific and written with the particular authority of someone who had lived inside the thing she was describing rather than observing it from outside. The second review used the phrase inside view. Not from the methodology. From the book. From the chapter about the Marlowe's dinner and eating the meal alone and going home with every piece of yourself intact. The third review was not a professional review. It was a message in the Aldrich Press reader feedback system, forwarded to me by Patricia. A woman who identified herself only as M. She said she had bought the book on Tuesday. She said she w

 MOONBOUND: THE HUMAN HEART

MOONBOUND: THE HUMAN HEART

I think the bones belonged to the wolves who tried to destroy it. Ela's stomach turned. She placed her hand on the book's cover. The leather was cold, almost freezing, as if it had been sitting in ice instead of a dusty chamber. Thorne opened it carefully, turning pages that crackled with age. The illustrations were unlike anything Ela had seen before. Wolves with human eyes. Humans with wolf shadows. A child standing between two worlds, one hand reaching toward the moon, the other toward the earth. The symbolism was heavy, unmistakable. Thorne stopped at a page near the middle of the book. The text was written in the same ancient language, but someone had translated it in the margins, the h

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

Fire and Ice (The alliance Book 1)

With a careful touch I pulled the leather-bound book from the shelf and read through the blurb finding myself amused as I discovered that the book was story of werewolves, apparently written by a human, a fantasy novel It wasn’t a genre I had ever encountered before I found myself making my way to the kitchen with the book in hand and a smile on my face, if nothing else it should be good for a few laughs, I wondered just how wrong the human’s perception of us could be. I piled a tray with a of tea and snacks for lunch and made my way back up to the sitting room n the east block before settling on the sofa and opening the first page. I was late morning when Tristan entered the room pulling my

Is this book completed?? There seems to be so much more happening, she hasn't had their baby yet, and what will hold for the baby, what kind of powers will it have? Please let us know if this book is done. Not trying to be a jerk, but why start other books while there are ones not even finished yet?

Long story short, she was punished. The small room with stacked shelves of different genre of novels probably had more books than the public library in her hometown. At the far end of the last shelf was a collection of Robert’s books of which she had read a good number. While going through the shelf, she stumbled upon the ‘Double Shadow’ sequel. What she called the ‘best book of all time.’ It’s no surprise the book won him many awards and his fame. That particular novel, she read about three times could only be described in one word: ‘Thrilling.’
