I took a book and ran fast asking my sandals for discipline so as not to have a second slip. Leaving the drama section I sit at the table closest to me, open the book and pretend to read, after a few slow seconds; a boy comes out of the gothic narrative section, I wouldn't look, it would be very suspicious to do so, but when he passed by I knew who he was. Eliecer, his brother. What trouble has he gotten himself into? Not in a problem… He had committed a crime. And Edrien knows it…he was helping him.

“You know what I’m reading, of course you do.” “I haven’t researched it as I stalked you on camera if that’s what you’re referring to.” Max smiled. “It’s a novel about a woman who rescued thousands of children by smuggling them out of the Warsaw Ghetto in World War II.” “Sounds heroic,” Max said. “I’ve just started, seems good so far.” Abby paused. Max seemed different, more reserved if it was possible. Reserved and distracted. “What’s wrong? Have you heard something?” His eyes shot to hers. “What makes you say that?”

Placing a rather similar book in the Magicae’s place, he shut the box just as she looked back to make sure he was following. “Should we thank the librarian?” The boy asked in a whispered cheekiness. Elaine simply gave him a look and led the way back through the mounds of books towards the stained glass windows, and the door that had just so happened to be open. Stepping out of the library, they were met with rain and a sudden blast of chaos. The librarian must have gone to check up on them and seen what she had done, noticed the stolen page, and was roaring with rage. Elaine breathed, snatching the boy’s hand, “Run.”

I don’t have time for this. The soft ding of the elevator announces my arrival, and I step out, heading straight for Zoe’s room. My hands push the door open, and what I see stops me in my tracks. Zoe is lying on the bed, propped up on pillows, flipping through a book. She looks calm, completely at ease. And then I see it—the book in her hands. It’s the book. The same one I stole from the library. The werewolf book. My stomach twists as memories flood back, all the questions, all the warnings.

But ghosts know how to haunt. It wasn't easy getting access to the chamber that held the book—so many locks, and traps—but one of the benefits I got from being with Thane—even though it was only temporary and ended with nothing but pain—was that I knew a few things others didn't. My hands trembled as I lifted the book, its cover worn, symbols etched deep into the leather. It thrummed beneath my fingertips—alive. I barely made it past the border before they caught me. They went rolling down the mountain slope and the road was cleared. I removed the barricade and announced that the path was clear. I watched contentedly as Elsa drove smoothly towards St. Normans’. I didn’t go to St. Normans’ rather I went back to Dixonville. On reaching home I took out the book from under my jacket. I ran my hand over the cover of the book. I was about to throw it into the fire when I remembered that the book contained a picture of Prince Audrey. I couldn’t resist the temptation of seeing his picture. I swiftly turned to the page where his picture was printed. I couldn’t bring myself to burn the book with the picture. So I tore out that page folded it and kept it in my pock

Occasionally she would open it and if she liked something in the book she would open, she would instantly buy it. She stopped at what she was doing, analyzing the book. She looked at the holes where she could clearly see section D. There was this woman who had just entered. She frowned at what the woman was up to. The woman seemed terrified and was looking around, making sure anyone was not looking at her. When she did not see anyone, she immediately put the books she had stolen into her bag. What she didn’t know was that Chel was just in the other section and the theft she was committing was seen.

It landed right in front of Alpha Steven, and he picked it up. “What’s that?” I asked. “This is my grandfather's book; I haven't read this one yet, but I plan to later in the future,” Steven said. “Can I see it?” I asked. Steven nodded softly and handed the book over to me. I opened the first page, and his name was the first thing I saw: Howard Mortimer. I read through the first few passages, and each paragraph detailed his experiences and adventures over the years during his youth. As I proceeded toward the middle, the paragraphs became shorter and fewer until I came across a ripped page.
