Half Blood Shadow

Half Blood Shadow

The white void shattered. Suddenly, Anna was standing in a cathedral-like structure that defied the laws of geometry. Shelves of obsidian and bone rose into a sky of swirling ink, filled with millions of scrolls, jars of memories, and weeping books. It was the Great Library of the Sunder, the repository of everything the McKinnley line had ever taken or lost.

Young master Xander's pet

Some books had a symbol depicting the name. A strange thought crept into his chest. As he set his thoughts on vacating into motion, a book caught his attention. It had both a name and an author's name. At least it appeared better than the others. He made his way out and closed the door after picking up the book. The wind emerged absent all of a sudden. The cold shivers that steered through his spine each night after locking the bookstore were also mislaid. Roman felt a twinge in his upper arm as he sauntered further into a cemetery. He could hear downward incantations, muffled whines, and snarling insects. The torchlight squeezed around his fingers shone steadily across the footpath.

Hiding the Alpha’s Twins: His Wolfless Luna

Hiding the Alpha’s Twins: His Wolfless Luna

And it was packed. Books. Hundreds of them. Maybe thousands. Stacked on shelves that covered every wall. Piled on tables. Some even scattered across the floor like someone had been reading them and just dropped them. "This is a library." Dominic moved past me, eyes wide. "An entire library hidden under the Wolf Tomb." "Not just any library." I picked up the nearest book. The cover was leather, worn smooth with age. The title was in a language I didn't recognize but somehow I could still read it. "These are about magic. Old magic. The kind that's been lost for centuries."

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

Yet, almost three textbooks have already been disposed of in the corner, insightful but useless to Z’s situation. One rainy night, she came across a tattered book in the pile of books she ought to read. It was the first book the librarian gave her but owing to its old look and almost ruined cover, she neglected it and decided to have a look at those with an eye-catching cover. Now that she looked at it again, she felt a certain spark of magic twinkling from it. She traced the pattern embossed on the cover, thinking that it would have been better to see it freshly printed. From the stains and dirt blurring the illustration of an eye pierced by an arrow, she’d seen the words, ‘Scars: Magic Unk

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

he said, his voice filled with pride, as he pulled out his toolbox and began tinkering with the broken laptop. While Clara was concentrating on how her laptop was being fixed, Mathias was busy walking around the room, his eyes scouring every nook and cranny. Suddenly, he stumbled on something that caught his interest, an old looking book with the name Los cuentos perdidos (The Lost Tales). Mathias's eyes widened with excitement as he recognized the title. He had seen a book like this once in his grandfather's home, but at that time, he was too young to read or have an interest in books. However, he knew for one thing, his grandfather couldn't have a book in his house that wasn't related to

she stopped herself, shifting her shoulders as she weighed the statement, "not a lot that we have left of it, anyway." "Why's that?" Avera asked with interest. "It was all lost," Kara told her, issuing a glance in her direction. "You know," she added, "during the Great Fire." Avera looked at her, unknowing, and she began to elaborate. "See, Stephan prided himself on his public works projects, and one of his crowning achievements was this really illustrious library he had built. All of the official documents and the entirety of the collections of the Royal Library were stored there, and when the city burned, the books burned with it," Kara stated, continuing to search through the catalogue. Everyone Expected Me To Divorce

Everyone Expected Me To Divorce

Actually, I think I should apologize, but I didn't know how I should apologize. I spent the next few days resting, so that my body recovered very well, so I went to the ancient book pavilion in person. "After our investigation, three books were lost in the ancient book pavilion, all of which were related to the primitive werewolf tribe and witches." The caretaker said so. But... primitive werewolf tribe? Why were you getting this up again? I didn't understand the correlation, and I was going to come back and ask Aaron. But when I went to his house, I saw a slender shadow standing at the door. Her previous sadness seemed to be swept away. Her whole person was bright and beautiful. I can't hel

I ask her confused. "The Council had all of these books shipped in. They said that it was a travesty that any Coven was living somewhere with no access to proper books. This book, this is my family history. It is a grimoire that only somebody that holds my bloodline can see. I bet that your family has one as well. With Elle being as revered as she is she most likely has it on her though." She tells me. "I guess that I should thank the Council for this gift then. I have been trying to find out where to get books for in here so this has definitely saved me some trouble. A****n does not have an area for witches." I joke with her.

The air smelled like old paper and moth balls. “This is the restricted section,” she said, gesturing to the shelves. “Most of these books are centuries old, filled with knowledge that’s been forgotten—or maybe even deliberately hidden. If there’s any information about the spell blocking your wolf, it’ll be here.” We spent the next hour combing through the shelves, pulling down books with titles like Ancient Curses and Their Remedies and The Lost Art of Mating Rituals. More than once Gertrude fell into sneezing fits from the dust, her glasses falling off her face, and the faint scent of mildew was giving me a headache, but we didn’t stop searching.

Accidental Bibliophiles

He says, pushing me through the door and into the store. I lead him to the back room where Mrs. B put a bunch of comfortable couches and armchairs as well as lamps for gentle light. Bookshelves line every wall, stacked to capacity with beautiful leather bound books. There's even a bronze, gliding ladder that she doesn't use anymore, but she calls it her pride and joy.
