The Alpha’s Dead Wife is Back

The Alpha’s Dead Wife is Back

"We don't use money here, Oneiric. We trade in favors. Secrets. And labor." She lowered herself to the ground. "What can you do? besides warp reality when you cry?" "I’m an archivist," Emily said. "I organize chaos. I find patterns where other people see noise." Morrigan raised an eyebrow. She gestured to a heavy iron door at the back of the atrium. "The Library of the Lost," Morrigan said. "We have scrolls dating back to the First Era. Grimoires written in dead tongues. Prophecies that drove their authors mad. It hasn't been organized in three centuries because most people who try end up bleeding from their eyes."

Trigger Me Gently

Trigger Me Gently

Nine remained. And one of them? Was crossed out by someone else. LOCATION: EDGE OF THE OLD CITY – ABANDONED LIBRARY TIME: 8:33 a.m. The books here were rotting. Histories no one wanted. Bloodlines no one respected. Solene moved through them like a shadow without a past because the stories left inside these walls were the kind that erased people like her. She knelt in the back corner. Pulled a volume from the stone shelf. Dust covered the title:

But had still found their way. River – POV Before bed, I knocked on her door. “Do you want to help with the archives tomorrow?” I asked. She blinked. “What archives?” “The Library of Lost Things,” I said. “It’s downstairs. Hasn’t been sorted in years. Rachel used to say it held all the stories that didn’t fit into neat endings.” Skye tilted her head. “Sounds perfect.” “It is.” She smiled. A real one. Small. Soft. But unmistakably real.

Her thirst for vengeance

Her thirst for vengeance

Soon the sun began to set and my hope began to dwindle as we flipped through book after book without a single mention of Lady Rina. “This is ridiculous,” I groaned in frustration, dropping another book back onto the table. “It's like someone put in a lot of effort into making sure that she doesn't exist. Caleb said the books were moved here but we have searched everywhere and there's still nothing.” Ingrid paused, her eyes catching something over my shoulder. “I'm not sure we have searched everywhere Luna, because look behind you.” I turned to follow her gaze and saw a guarded section at the very end of the library. A pair of imposing guards stood before an elaborate metal gate, blocking off

My Demon Life: Lucifer's Quest

My Demon Life: Lucifer's Quest

Say can't you just break down all the doors at the mansions. Lady: Do you see all those empty shelves? Apparently Lord Lucifer was placed with the task of the creation of a library with maximum security. After he built it ,the lords donated most of their important books to Lord Lucifer for safekeeping and in return he gave them this book. That is also why they don't want to break down the doors and risk losing all their knowledge. We believe this book to be the key and it mentioned seven books but the seventh book belonging to Lucifer was gone with him.

I give 5 stars on all criteria! I love the story and I really felt like I'm watching an anime. If you are into fast progressing and an intriguing story - this is it! I don't know exactly what good words more to say, but this book got me so excited I want to read all of it in one breath!

Fake Vow, True Luna

Fake Vow, True Luna

I had to make things right, not just for Olivia and the twins, but for everyone. Picking up the phone, I dialed Layla’s number, hoping she’d have a solution for one of our most significant losses—the library. Layla’s pack had a long history of maintaining the largest collection of books and scrolls in the region, and I hoped she could lend her expertise. After a few rings, Layla’s familiar voice greeted me. “Nathan? To what do I owe the pleasure?” “Layla,” I began, my voice strained with weariness. “We need your help. The library’s gone—destroyed in the last attack. We’ve lost countless records, books, and ancient texts.”

Pregnant from the man I hate - A Billionaire Romance

--- For the first time, they didn't have to solve anything. --- Save anything. --- Understanding nothing. --- They could simply be. --- In the afternoon, they sat in the library. --- Between the shelves. --- Where the years had once stood. --- Most of the books were still there. --- But one was missing. --- Just one. --- The book titled: --- Those Who Stayed --- It had vanished. --- Months ago. --- No one knew where it had gone. --- And somehow, that didn't bother anyone. --- For some stories wanted to wander on.

Becoming The Luna

Becoming The Luna

I had considered asking Luna Sandra before, but given the way she replied to me about my stepsisters, I knew she wouldn’t grace me with an answer. I scrolled down the list that appeared until I found the section that said Legends, Myths, and Curses. There were other subtopics, but I had no time to go through them yet—perhaps later if I had the time. The books were arranged by letters and numbers, so I quickly wrote them down on a piece of paper and exited the page to erase the evidence of my search. My next task was to find the books. With the guidelines, moving through the library was easy now. I took the books down, sometimes having to use the ladder that leaned on every bookshelf. Most of

Rejected Luna : Alpha's Promise, King's Claim

Compared to that, this library is smaller with fewer books. Back in my pack, there’s data on lots of special wolves. Mom and dad made sure that there’s information for everyone to find. Dad used to tell me. “Knowledge is power.” This library lacks it. It’s strange since the packhouse library should have the most data stored here. If the information I’m looking for is not here then I won’t find it anywhere else. It’s like someone erased them from history on purpose. I rub my temples in frustration, trying to shake the fog of disappointment settling in my head. That’s when my phone buzzes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Over time, lost library books can embark on quite the journey. Initially, they gather dust on forgotten shelves, their titles fading from memory. Libraries typically keep track of the books they lend out, and when a book is marked as lost, they might send reminder notices to the borrower. If those notices go unheeded, the library often writes the book off as lost. Depending on the library's policies, they may charge a fee to replace the book, but there's often a grace period where they hope the borrower will find and return it.

If years pass and the book remains unfound, it could be discarded during inventory checks. Some libraries have systems that allow them to sell or donate unreturned books, turning what was once a source of frustration into a second chance for someone else to enjoy. Sometimes, libraries even host events to clear out excess inventory, making way for new titles. The fate of lost library books reflects a blend of hope and pragmatism, caught in a crossroads of value and neglect. Still, every now and then, someone might walk in with a dusty old tome claiming they just ‘found’ it; never a dull moment in that world!
