Eternal Embers

Eternal Embers

Chapter sixteen: A new dawn Late summer sunshine gilded the facade of Montrose Hall as Isabelle Montrose stepped into the grand gallery annex, her breath catching at the sight before her. Rows of mahogany easels displayed her charcoal and watercolor drawings—renderings of flickering embers, twisting serpents, interlaced keys, and the silver blue flame she and Alexander had kindled in Saint Brigid’s crypt. Each piece was accompanied by a brief inscription in flowing Latin and English, celebrating the Ember Circle’s rebirth in truth.

HER DAUGHTER'S REJECTED MATE

HER DAUGHTER'S REJECTED MATE

Ceres said, “to wake the gods.” The Unseen Fires Royal Archives Vault – Deep Night Stone swallowed sound as Ceres and Maera descended into the under-vaults of Emberhold. Lightstones flickered against old Ember Scripts carved into the walls—names of long-dead queens and forgotten flame rites. The air grew colder. Ceres’s voice was almost a whisper. “The Phoenix Guard is nearly ready. The clans are folding in. But everything feels… brittle.” Maera glanced at her. “Glass can cut deeper than steel.”

A Flame in the Shadow

A Flame in the Shadow

Ember commands something deeper. I crest a ridge of jagged obsidian and stop. The sight nearly knocks the breath from my lungs. She stands at the center of a vast expanse of black glass. Shadow demons, thousands of them, form a massive circle around her. Horned giants, winged creatures with burning eyes. Beasts older than kingdoms. Every single one bowed. Not in fear, in reverence. Ember stands in the center of them like a queen who has finally stepped onto the throne she was always meant to claim. Gold light moves faintly through the darkness around her body, weaving through the shadows as if the realm itself were bowing to her. For a moment, I can only stare. In all my years here, I have n

The Midnight Sorceress

The Midnight Sorceress

It wasn't long before she found out that she could read everything despite very slowly. It was a poem, which read as follows: 'It was the Coming of the Midnight Sun, A daughter of the Sacred Wood, Lay in a chamber of the House of the Moon, And thus shall wither like a dying star Til the touch of a virgin at dawn.'

Flaming August's Embers

Flaming August's Embers

Or is it purely a masterpiece from the figment of the artist's imagination? Even if she is not over with it yet, she has to deviate her attention to the other things. She gets her charger and plug it into the outlet closer to the bedside table. Then unzips the zipper of her luggage to pick up a simple crop top and shorts. 20 minutes later, she hears a knock at the door coming from Simone. She has arranged some of the things she brought up upon waiting for his signal to go out. “Emi, are you good to eat meal now?”

The Huntress - Luna Eileen

The Huntress - Luna Eileen

“Damn, why couldn’t the child come a day earlier. What a fates forsaken night. May the three-faced goddess still watch over us in this dark hour.” The birthing was hard and it wasn’t until the darkest hour of the night that the villagers heard the tell-tale cry of a baby girl pierce the night air. She had a healthy set of lungs on her, that was for sure. In the corner, the old crone, Enid, who the coven considered their seer, began to shake violently. Her eyes rolled back until only white could be seen. In an eerie chanting lilt, “On a moonless night is born a she-wolf. On her head rests the crown of feather, antler, and fur; By the TriMother, blessed be she. Through her shall the darkest ni

Desiree Glascoe
Normally not a witch/werewolf fan but this novel held my interest. The history research done by the author makes the characters more real. I’m really enjoying the suspense, surprise, humor and the love scenes are pretty hot and descriptive. Keep up the good work!

Very nice writing style. The author is able to portray scenes in a vivid way and bring them to life. I would suggest to keep the flow going throughout the chapter. If not possible then put the time skip in the next chapter.

The Vampire King Reclaiming His Lost Princess

The Vampire King Reclaiming His Lost Princess

"Will my title of a Crone from the House of Untouchables be up to your liking, Dragon?" "Careful with your claims assassin. Dragons despise liars and I have killed people for lesser reasons." Aidan chuckled enigmatically. He wasn’t a fool. A Crone was not an ordinary being. They were rare. There was no way this girl sitting across from him was a Crone. The probability of having a Crone born in the same millennium was close to zero. "You actually want me to prove my title to you?" Esmeray inquired with a sigh as if the mere prospect was tiring for her.

Astral Odyssey: Dying Ember

Astral Odyssey: Dying Ember

Although it felt like it lasted for a few seconds, it had only taken a split second. Zira opened her eyes. Her grey eyes with black slits shone in the night almost as brightly as the moon now in the sky. She took tentative steps towards the vines. It felt almost natural to her now that she had the original soul's memories. While she crawled through the maze of thorny vines, she resumed her discussion with BaoBao. /Tomorrow's the annual Blood Moon gathering./ [Where you'll likely meet Neoma, since you're all omegas.]

Bite me, Twice

Bite me, Twice

It felt as if even the forest had grown silent, that Anu herself might hear the crone's words. "Tonight as we celebrate rebirth and the growing days, we must too celebrate death and the stretching night that has come before this moment. On this the longest night, Anu brings new life to the world. But, just as with a babe it must grow, and be nurtured until the spring comes to us. So we leave behind the old world," the crone said, and the four witches lowered their torches to the bowls they had prepared.
