Crow roared, clearly frustrated as she slipped by him once again. And then again.

Rina cut into his leg. He didn't fall. Didn't slow. He shifted mid-strike, claws turning to hands, then back again. Teeth flashing. Movements impossible to predict. A monster. Book 2: Crown of Shadows Chapter 1: The Departure The carriage door closed with finality that echoed through her chest like a death knell. Through crystal-clear windows enhanced with court magic far beyond territorial capabilities, she watched Shadoweave's spires fade into pre-dawn mist. The Crown of the First Shadow appeared in the air above us, a circlet of woven silver and dark glass. It descended slowly, settling onto my brow with a weight that felt like the entire world.

Because I saw something no one else did. In the trees, just beyond the sacred stones— I saw a woman standing, wearing my face. Her eyes were glowing black. But she didn’t say a word, she only smiled. And in her hands—she held the Crown. A second one. Made not of moonlight… but *shadow*.

Dim, crimson lights bathed the room in an alluring glow, casting shadows that danced with every movement. The club was divided into different sections, each offering a unique experience.
